Taylor Frankie Paul Loses Custody of Daughter, May Be Forced to Pay Back …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Things just keep getting worse for Taylor Frankie Paul.

Just two days after Paul's season of The Bachelorette was cancelled by ABC, the embattled reality star has been dealt yet another blow.

Multiple outlets have now confirmed that Taylor's ex, Dakota Mortensen, has been awarded sole physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter.

Taylor Frankie Paul attends the Los Angeles Premiere and FYC Event of Hulu's "The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives" Season 2 at Paramount Studios on May 09, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

As of now, the ruling is only temporary, and Taylor will have the chance to plead her case to a judge on April 7.

But until then, she will not be permitted to see her daughter at all.

"No parent time is allowed until the scheduled hearing," reads a court order obtained by People magazine.

Like every recent setback in Taylor's life, the custody decision is the result of video that shows Taylor assaulting Dakota and hurling kitchen barstools at him.

To the shock of many viewers, one of the stools apparently struck Taylor's five-year-old daughter.

"This is called physical abuse," Mortensen could be heard saying as he filmed the physical altercation.

"Your daughter just got hit in the head by a metal chair," Mortensen remarked later in the clip.

Needless to say, that's the sort of thing that's likely to impact your custody situation.

Paul has two children from a previous relationship, but it doesn't appear that there's been any change in that custody arrangement.

And Taylor's situation might soon get even worse, as she could be forced to return the salary that she received during her time as Bachelorette.

Legal experts tell Page Six that Paul may be required to return some or all of her paycheck after ABC made the last-minute decision to pull the already-filmed season.

The reasoning is fairly straightforward: contracts for reality TV leads often include clauses tied to conduct and the ability of a network to actually air the finished product.

If that's the case with Frankie's contract — which it almost certainly is — the network could potentially demand repayment, or even pursue additional damages tied to the cost of production.

"When working with a public person for any project, companies almost always include a morality clause in the contract," attorney Ashlee Difuntorum of Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir LLP tells Page Sic.

And the costs for something like a full season of The Bachelorette are not small.

As previously reported, ABC had already spent millions producing and promoting the season before pulling it from the schedule, leaving the network with little opportunity to recoup its investment.

And that could mean more trouble for the hard-luck Mormon Wife.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Kendra Caldwell Arrested For Child Endangerment Following Husband Joseph Duggar’s …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Earlier this week, we reported on the news that Joseph Duggar has been arrested on child molestation charges.

Now, his wife of almost nine years, Kendra Caldwell, is facing charges of her own.

According to police, both Kendra, 27, and Joseph, 31, are now facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.

Authorities confirmed that after arrest warrants were issued, Kendra was taken into custody on March 20 before being released later that same day.

Her bond was set at $1,470, and she is expected to appear in court in the coming days as the case moves forward (via E! News).

While Kendra was allowed to make bail, officials have emphasized that the investigation remains "active and ongoing." They noted that limited information is being released due to the involvement of minors.

Joseph reportedly remains behind bars. He is currently awaiting extradition to Bay County, Tennessee, where his trial will take place.

While Kendra was arrested just days after her husband, authorities have indicated that Kendra's charges are separate from the child molestation allegations her husband is currently facing.

Joseph was arrested on charges stemming from an alleged 2020 incident involving a 9-year-old girl during a family vacation in Florida.

The Duggar family first rose to prominence on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, but in recent years, they've become more famous for their numerous child abuse scandals than for the wholesome facade they presented on television.

Prior to Joseph's arrest, his eldest brother, Josh Duggar, was convicted on charges of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials.

Years earlier, an unsealed police report revealed that Josh had molested five young girls, four of whom were his sisters.

He is currently behind bars and is not scheduled for release until 2032.

As for Joseph and Kendra, at this point, both of their cases remain unresolved, and the full details have yet to be made public.

Joseph was arrested after a 14-year-old girl provided a "forensic interview" to police in Arkansas, alleging that the father of three molested her during a vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida in 2020.

For obvious reasons, authorities will not make the identity of the accuser public.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Steve Harvey Divorce Rumors & Marriage History With Marjorie Harvey, Explained

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Steve Harvey is a divorced man — twice over, in fact.

The Family Feud host is no stranger to ugly divorces and bitter, public battles. To that end, he isn't immune to speculation and accusations about his current marriage.

In recent years, wild rumors have circulated about his relationship with Marjorie Harvey.

So, the real question is: Is Steve headed towards divorce number three? They're saying absolutely not; their friends are saying otherwise.

Steve Harvey and Marjorie Harvey Open Up On Divorce Rumors

Rumors have been circulating that claim that the famous yet controversial TV host and his wife split due to multiple affairs on her part.

According to these claims, Marjorie Harvey's alleged cheating included both the couple's bodyguard and their chef.

The same rumors claim that this hurtful (yet impressive) betrayal has led to Marjorie demanding a divorce settlement of $200 million from Steve.

There are several problems with all of that.

The least important of which may be that online estimates put Steve Harvey's total net worth at around $200 million, which would make for a fairly lopsided divorce settlement.

In August of 2023, Steve Harvey appeared in person at the Atlanta business event, Invest Fest.

According to The LA Times, Steve Harvey quashed cheating and divorce rumors.

Steve Harvey wants everyone to know that he and Marjorie are 'fine'

"I'm fine. Marjorie fine," Steve Harvey declared to the crowd.

"I don't know what y'all are doing, but find something else to do, 'cause we fine. Lord, have mercy," he remarked.

"Sometimes … you wanna respond, but I ain't got no time for rumor and gossip," Steve commented.

"God been good to me. I'm still shining."

Just weeks later, The Economic Times reported that Steve Harvey fired his social media manager.

Some quickly connected it to the divorce rumors, but the TV host explained that it was the result of an uncharacteristically negative Tweet from the account.

"My husband and I don't usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us," Marjorie Harvey acknowledged on Instagram.

"However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are."

Steve Harvey Is Divorced – From His First Two Wives

Steve and Marjorie married in 2007. He has credited her with making him into a better person.

In 1996, he married Mary Harvey. Their marriage officially ended in December of 2005.

Before that, he married Marcia Harvey in 1981.

They remained married until 1994.

Through three marriages, Steve Harvey has seven children — four biological and three by adoption.

Three of his biological children were with his first wife, Marcia.

The two welcomed Brandi and Karli, twin daughters, on August 20 of 1982. Nine years later, on April 29, they welcomed their son, Broderick Harvey, Jr.

Steve Harvey is a very high-profile individual due to his career and success. His first wife, however, was not. As such, the reasons for their split were not immediately obvious.

Why did Steve Harvey get divorced from Marcia?

Not everything that happens in the '90s remains in the '90s. Marcia Harvey's 2011 book, Marcia: Eyes to the Soul, reflected upon her years married to Steve.

The public has now come to understand that Steve's career kept him busy, and the time away from them caused a strain that led to a divorce.

Court records show that Steve did not initially pay alimony or child support to his ex-wife. After two years, Marcia went to court, where a judge forced the then-deadbeat to provide what he owed. Since then, Steve Harvey has patched things up with his ex-wife and with his children.

How are Steve & Marjorie Today

These days, it feels like the pair have put the noise of a divorce behind them to enjoy living together.

In July 2024, the Family Feud host took to X, formerly Twitter, to post a photo of him and his wife from their romantic getaway in Italy, where they celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary.

"Still going strong," he wrote in the caption, along with fire and heart emojis. The pair looked incredibly cozy and incredibly chic, sitting together in formal wear while cruising the Mediterranean.

Looks like they'll make it after all!

ABC to Lose $30 Million By Canceling Taylor Frankie Paul’s …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

From the moment that Taylor Frankie Paul was cast as the Bachelorette, fans of the franchise questioned the wisdom of that decision.

Turns out the skeptics were completely right!

In an unprecedented move, ABC has canceled Paul's season just days before it was set to premiere.

Taylor Frankie Paul attends the Los Angeles Premiere and FYC Event of Hulu's "The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives" Season 2 at Paramount Studios on May 09, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

The decision, of course, was the result of video that showed Taylor attacking Dakota Mortensen, at one point hurling chairs at him, one of which struck her five-year-old daughter.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans knew about the incident years ago, and ABC didn't want to listen to their warnings about Taylor.

Now, the network stands to lose an astonishing $30 million as a result of its fractured partnership with Paul (per The Hollywood Reporter).

That figure reflects the full cost of production — including filming, travel, crew, marketing, and post-production — all of which (except for post-production) had already been completed before the network made the decision to shelve the season.

In other words, this isn't a matter of stopping something mid-production. Filming was all but finished. The show was mostly ready to air. And now, it may never be seen.

At this stage, ABC has not announced any plans to air the season in a different format — or at all.

They're just scrapping an entire season of a show that costs about $2 million per episode.

In addition to all the ad revenue they stand to lose, the Disney-owned network will also lose out on all the show's sponsored content deals:

The airlines and hotels that we see during the travel segments, the clothes Taylor wore — most of that was provided for free by brands who just wanted the exposure.

Now, they'll be expecting to be compensated some other way — likely with cash.

The network could attempt to recoup some of the losses through insurance or by repurposing footage, but reports suggest there is no clear or immediate solution that would offset a financial hit of this magnitude.

Despite the fact that the incident had been publicly known before Paul was cast, the emergence of the video itself appears to have been the tipping point.

And with advertisers, affiliates, and viewers all watching closely, the decision carries consequences that go far beyond the bottom line.

Obviously, pulling the season was necessary given the circumstances.

After all, it's hard to believe that fans would've tuned in every week and rooted for a woman with well-documented violent tendencies to find and marry the man of her dreams.

And in all likelihood, the show would've continued to lose advertisers, as well as viewers.

Still, it's not hard to see why execs hesitated to cancel the season.

After all, Taylor's not the only one involved in the making of this series.

Now, if producers cast one of her suitors as next season's Bachelor, no one will know who he is. And Doug Mason, the man who proposed to Taylor, won't get his moment in the spotlight.

Which is a shame, as he didn't get much else out of his time on the show. Sources say he and Paul have already broken up.

Truly, a season in which there were no winners.

Taylor Frankie Paul Slammed By ‘Mormon Wives’ Costars Amid Growing Abuse …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

As you've almost certainly heard by now, Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette has been canceled by ABC.

Network execs made the controversial move after video of Paul assaulting then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen went viral on Thursday.

The situation stunned many — including, it seems, Taylor's Secret Lives of Mormon Wives castmates, who are now speaking out about the situation:

Taylor Frankie Paul attends SiriusXM's Radio Andy Presentation: Town Hall with the cast of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" at SiriusXM Studios on May 08, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

"My personal history as a survivor makes it impossible for me to stay silent. I stand firmly against domestic violence in any form." Layla Taylor wrote on her Instagram Story (via People).

Shortly after Taylor sounded off, her Secret Lives costar Miranda McWhorter offered her own two cents:

"I've honestly been a little at a loss for words trying to process this all. Everything has been really heavy to see. Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously," McWhorter wrote, adding:

"As a human, and especially a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior. My heart is with the children in this and I hope they're safe, supported, and surrounded by love."

The video that led ABC to pull Taylor's season — a decision that's expected to cost the network tens of millions of dollars — was bad enough.

Miranda McWhorter, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Taylor Frankie Paul, Jennifer Affleck, Whitney Leavitt and Demi Engemann attend the Los Angeles Premiere and FYC Event of Hulu's "The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives" Season 2 at Paramount Studios on May 09, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

But today, we learned that Dakota has accused Taylor of assaulting him two more times in February of this year.

The first fight allegedly broke out while Dakota was visiting Taylor and their 2-year-old son at her home.

Dakota claims that Taylor choked him, shoved him into a window, and struck him at least once.

Mortensen says he called 911 for help, but that Taylor "pressured and manipulated" him into falsely telling the dispatcher that their son was sick and ending the call.

He claims that Taylor's "aggressive behavior" continued from there, so he took the child home for his safety.

Elsewhere in his filing, he claims that the aggression continued the following night when Taylor threw his phone at a wall and tried to physically prevent him from leaving her house.

Despite the mounting evidence against her, Taylor continues to maintain that she is the victim in this situation.

"Taylor is very grateful for ABC's support as she prioritizes her family's safety and security," Paul said through a spokesperson, adding (via People):

"After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.

"There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives."

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Taylor Frankie Paul & Doug Mason Got Engaged on ‘The Bachelorette’: Are …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

As you've probably heard by now, Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette has been canceled by ABC.

The decision was made just days before Taylor's first episode was set to premiere, meaning that the whole season had already been filmed.

And we now know that Taylor got engaged to a man named Doug Mason in what was supposed to be her season finale.

Of course, the episode was filmed over a month ago, and now members of Bachelor Nation are wondering if these two are still engaged.

Taylor Frankie Paul attends the Los Angeles Premiere and FYC Event of Hulu's "The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives" Season 2 at Paramount Studios on May 09, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

Who is Doug Mason?

As we'll never get to see Doug's dates with Taylor, we'll have the whole story of their relationship.

But we do know about Doug himself.

Based on promotional materials released by ABC, he's a 28-year-old ocean lifeguard from San Diego.

And according to his bio:

"Doug can ride a unicycle. Doug wants to learn guitar so he can serenade someone. Doug's love language is great banter."

Doug Mason seems like a nice guy. But is he still engaged to Taylor Frankie Paul?

Sounds like a nice guy! Of course, Taylor's kids and her commitment to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives would likely prevent her from ever moving out of Utah.

And an ocean lifeguard would likely have a hard time adjusting to life as a member of Taylor's insular Mormon community.

That leads to our second big question:

Are Doug Mason and Taylor Frankie Paul planning a wedding?

Sadly, just a few weeks after Doug popped the question, multiple sources have confirmed that the engagement is off.

That claim seems to be corroborated by Doug's Instagram comments on the issue:

"In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked," Mason said on Friday via Instagram Stories.

"All we can do right now is just be hopeful, and I am headed off to run to watch the sunrise," he continued, adding:

'Bachelorette' fans are dying to know" are Doug Mason and Taylor Frankie Paul still engaged?

"I hope you guys have a great day, and let's stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need."

ABC's decision to cancel the season was based on video that showed Taylor assaulting then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

Even though Taylor was the aggressor in the video, Doug is not the first one to express sympathy toward her.

That's likely because Paul has also accused Mortensen of abuse, and she's promised that the truth will come out eventually.

"It's sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child," Paul's rep said in a statement issued Thursday.

"Releasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their son's birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior," the statement continued.

Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is, and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show and from their own experiences."

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

How does she cope with being a working mom?

Mikayla took to her Instagram Story to answer questions, sharing a serious health update in the process.

One follower asked how she deals with everyday stress from being a working mom and raising her kids.

She began her reply simply: "I don't."

Mikayla explained: "I'm genuinely just barely surviving."

She admitted: "There's no one piece of advice that will apply to anyone, EXCEPT take time for yourself."

The first Mikayla Instagram Story screenshot of two.

Mikayla elaborated upon her advise, writing: "Don't forget your hobbies or what you like to do for YOU."

She confessed: "The mom guilt has eaten me alive." Oh no!

"Chronic illness is all-consuming," Mikayla lamented. "And I haven't been able to show up as the mom I want to be for the last couple [of] years."

She has made references to chronic illness in the past, but avoided getting specific.

"I just want to feel like myself again," Mikayla expressed. She then praised mothers in general as her "hero." So sweet!

What is CIRS?

In another post, Mikayla explained that her chronic illness is Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).

"I'll be sharing more soon about my journey with mold illness, moving out of my house," she listed.

"And," Mikayla continued, "the postpartum guilt I struggled with while going through such a massive health flare filming that wasn't included in the show."

She also wrote about how CIRS "has ruined just everything in my body. Nerves, skin, hair, brain, gut, liver, hormones, etc."

Mikayla cited how she has turned down numerous opportunities because of this health battle — especially her skin.

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome is a wide-ranging immune response.

Essentially, prolonged exposure — usually to mold or to another fungus, such as one would get in a building with extensive water damage — causes your immune system to flare up.

This sounds somewhat similar to what Tori Spelling and her family endured in early 2023.

You may remember that the Spellings fled their rental home due to a serious mold problem, and subsequently underwent health scans to assess the long-term damage.

One of the most dangerous effects can be inflammation of the brain. But, ultimately, CIRS can impact many organs, and the effects can linger long after the exposure ends.

'Life doesn't have to stop'

"I want you guys that are in similar situations to feel seen," Mikayla told her fans and followers.

"And," she continued, she wants them to "know that life doesn't have to stop when s–tty things are happening to you."

She's right!

We wish her, and anyone battling similar symptoms (whether they are aware of the illness or not), the very best.

And Mikayla sharing her story is a great reminder that there's much more to SLOMW than the explosive, upsetting drama.

Jill Duggar Responds to Joseph Duggar Molestation Arrest, Learned About It When a Friend …

Reading Time: 4 minutes

This week, police arrested Joseph Duggar on charges of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl.

Among the first of his siblings to speak out was disgraced sex offender Josh, who showered his younger brother with support — wanted or not.

Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, have put out their own statement.

This is a painful, complex topic for them. What are they saying?

The Dillards are responding to Joseph's arrest

On Thursday, March 19, Jill and Derick Dillard took to their family website to release this statement (below).

'We were shocked yesterday evening to learn of Jill's brother (Joseph Duggar's) arrest," the Dillards wrote.

"We first learned of anything related to his charges yesterday," they shared.

The Dillards revealed that they only learned about this "via a text from a friend who messaged us about the recent media reports."

So, a friend saw reports "of Joseph's arrest and his alleged confession to molesting a juvenile female in 2020" and then texted Jill and Derick. There was no forewarning.

"We are shocked and heartbroken," the Dillards wrote. "We strongly condemn abuse."

As longtime observers of the Duggars are aware, Jill herself is a CSA survivor — one of the victims of her other brother, Josh.

Jill and Derick affirmed: "We support the rule of law and hope that justice will be achieved."

That's pretty vague (albeit understandably so), hoping for justice without suggesting what the most just outcome might be.

However, the Dillards soon became much more specific when they spoke about the victim — the 14-year-old girl who was 9 at the time of the alleged crime.

Their thoughts are, first and foremost, with the victim

"Our hearts go out to the innocent juvenile victim of this unspeakable crime," Jill and Derick expressed, "and her family."

Notably, it seems that the girl's father was involved in uncovering the crime. He reportedly confronted Joseph.

"We pray God gives her strength, comfort, and hope," the Dillards expressed.

"And," the statement continued, "that she is able to get all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead."

The criminal charges stem from a fateful Florida vacation in 2020. However, coming forward about abuse sometimes forces victims to confront the reality of what has been done to them.

"We love our sister-in-law, Kendra, and our four nieces and nephews," Jill and Derick emphasized.

Joseph was already a father of two in 2020.

"And," the Dillards wrote, they "pray that they feel loved and supported during this time."

They added: "As we cannot imagine the indescribable pain they feel as they process and grieve everything."

Jill and Derick concluded by citing biblical verses: one about justice from Isaiah, and another about victims from Psalms.

Unfortunately, misdirected rage has targeted Jill and her sisters

Even under a post memorializing their stillborn daughter, trolls mocked Jill and Derick — asking if she is "proud" of her family.

There is a time and a place. And Jill has simply never been the right target for this kind of vitriol.

Some of her siblings do need to think long and hard about who they support.

Unquestionably, the extreme beliefs that the Duggars espouse make their community a perfect hunting ground for men who want to prey upon women and girls. Josh and now Joseph seem to be evidence of this.

But Jill has spoken against Josh repeatedly. She has challenged her family, and faced backlash for it. She's not rallying to Joseph's defense now — and as a CSA survivor herself, she should not be a target for harassment.

Dakota Mortensen Claims Taylor Frankie Paul Attacked Him Again Last Month, Files For …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Less than 24 hours after ABC pulled the plug on Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette, the embattled reality star is facing yet another allegation.

Taylor's season was pulled after video of her assaulting then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen went viral.

Now, Mortensen has filed a restraining order against Taylor, alleging that she was physically abusive toward him on two separate incidents last month.

According to court documents, Dakota filed the protective order petition in Utah on March 19.

TMZ reports that the two incidents Mortensen refers to in his petition took place on February 23 and 24.

The first fight allegedly broke out while Dakota was visiting Taylor and their 2-year-old son at her home.

Dakota claims that Taylor choked him, shoved him into a window, and struck him at least once.

He adds that Taylor's "emotionally volatile" actions woke up their son and that she was threatening to harm herself.

Mortensen says he's seeking legal protection for both himself and the former couple's young son.

The filing comes as authorities continue to investigate allegations made by both parties about previous domestic violence incidents.

Police have confirmed that the case remains open and that claims have been made "in both directions."

Mortensen's decision to pursue a restraining order signals escalating concern about safety — particularly when it comes to their child.

Both sides have pushed back against the narrative surrounding the situation. Mortensen's representatives say his priority is protecting his child and maintaining stability.

Meanwhile, Paul has alleged that she experienced abuse within the relationship and has emphasized that she is focused on her children and moving forward.

At this point, the restraining order request is just one part of an ongoing legal process.

A hearing is expected in the coming weeks, where a judge will determine whether the order will be granted and what conditions may be imposed.

For now, the situation remains unresolved — and deeply serious.

We'll have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Chuck Norris Cause of Death: Legendary Actor Dies at 86

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Earlier this week, we revealed that legendary actor Chuck Norris was hospitalized.

At the time, the only explanation was a "medical incident." He was said to be in good spirits.

Now, his family has delivered a grim update.

Norris has passed away at the age of 86.

Chuck Norris has died

On Friday, March 20, Norris' Instagram account delivered a lengthy update about this loss.

"It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning," the caption began.

This means that he passed away early on Thursday, March 19 — at a time when all reports believed him to be alive in the hospital.

"While we would like to keep the circumstances private," the family asked.

The statement assured: "Please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace."

The statement went on "To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength."

Norris' family clarified: "To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family."

In the caption, the statement praised: "He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved."

The Norris family added: "Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives."

Continuing, the statement expressed: "While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and for the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him."

His family is including fans in their grief

"The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him," the statement gushed.

"And," the Norris caption affirmed, "our family is truly thankful for it."

They assured followers: "To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends."

Celebrity deaths are sometimes instances where family closes ranks, highlighting the differences between the parasocial bond that fans imagine and their own raw grief.

Clearly, the Norris family has gone in the other direction — including fans in mourning the actor.

The statement continued: "We know many of you had heard about his recent hospitalization."

We here at THG reported on that earlier in the week. At the time, it did not sound dire.

"And," the Norris family expressed, "we are truly grateful for the prayers and support you sent his way."

They made a request: "As we grieve this loss, we kindly ask for privacy for our family during this time."

In conclusion, they wrote: "Thank you for loving him with us. With love, The Norris Family."

This is a tremendous loss

At present, we do not know Norris' cause of death — except that it presumably stemmed from the undisclosed "medical event" that hospitalized him.

He is survived by Gena O'Kelley, his second wife. The two married in 1998.

Norris had two sons, Eric and Mike, three daughters, Dakota, Danilee, and Dina. He also boasted numerous grandchildren.

On top of that, he had millions of fans over his decades-spanning career, whether of his films or of Walker, Texas Ranger or simply of the early-2000s memes.

The world is a different place without him.
