His widow, Erika Kirk, is still making the media rounds in an effort to share her husband's message and preserve his legacy.
And in a recent interview with Megyn Kelly, Erika revealed a heartbreaking aspect of her story that she had previously kept private.

Erika Kirk reveals she had hoped to have more children by late husband
"You told me this in private — How many kids did you want to have?" Kelly asked.
"We wanted to have four. And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered," Kirk replied, adding:
"Both of us were, we were really excited to just expand our family."
"Oh, wow. I thought of that once," Kelly said. "Whether it was meant to be or whether we'd get news like that."

"I know," a tearful Kirk replied. "I was like, oh, goodness, that was going to be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe."
As was the case with her husband, Kirk's brand relies heavily on her tendency to make the personal political, as well as her belief that the lifestyle of her choosing is the only one worth leading.
These tendencies were on full display during her conversation with Kelly, as she advised all women to start having children at an early age:
"So, now when I see young couples, I tell them, 'Please, don't put it off.' Especially if you're a young woman. Don't put it off, you can always have a career, you can always, you know, go back to work," Kirk said.

"You can never just go back to having children. And they grow so fast and so quickly, but I just, I was praying. Both of us were. We were just excited to just expand our family."
Of course, not everyone can afford to put off full-time employment, so Kirk's advice might not be as universally useful as she believes it to be.
And as many have pointed out, Charlie Kirk frequently railed against the idea of women — especially mothers — working outside the home, so there's an inherent irony in Erika's decision to take on the role of CEO at Turning Point USA.
"Thank God you have the two. Thank God," Kelly said in response to Kirk's comments about her family.
"A boy and girl. I know," Kirk told her.
"One day, they'll find out. Right now they're just little loves. But one day they'll find out that they're Charlie Kirk's children and they'll know what that means," Kelly replied.
Erika has not revealed her immediate plans for Turning Point, but we're sure she'll make several more media appearances between now and the end of the year.
Brendan Fraser is a critically acclaimed actor who has starred in blockbuster films and cult classics alike.
In the '90s, he was an up-and-coming heartthrob. He's now a universally beloved Oscar winner.
After some major career setbacks, he's reminding everyone of his talent and how lovable he is.
But what about his love life?

Brendan Fraser and Afton Smith
On July 4, 1993, Brendan Fraser attended a barbecue at Winona Ryder's house.
He was a relative newcomer to the entertainment industry, but was fresh off of the commercial success of Encino Man — which is now a cult classic.
There, he met Afton Smith, a fellow actor.
Smith would go on to appear in George of the Jungle (1997), which is one of Fraser's most beloved roles in part because of his deliberate and unrelenting hotness.
Her role in the film was a minor one. Her role in his life was not.

They married and had three sons
On September 27, 1998, Fraser and Smith married.
They went on to welcome three children — all sons — together.
Griffin Arthur Fraser was born in 2002.
Holden Fletcher Fraser was born in 2004.
And, last but not least, Fraser and Smith welcomed Leland Francis Fraser in 2006. Yes, he's the otherworldly hot one.

It did not last
In April of 2007, Fraser and Smith sold their Beverly Hills home for $3 million.
It was only later that year that Fraser's publicist disclosed that the two were divorcing after 10 years of marriage.
Fraser was ordered to pay Smith $50,000 per month in alimony alongside $25,000 per month in child support.
In early 2011, Fraser's career was not doing well. He asked the court to reduce his spousal support payments. (He did not contest the child support.)
Ultimately, the court did not side with Fraser or Smith. Overall, they have received public praise for their peaceful co-parenting.

Brendan Fraser and Jeanne Moore
In September of 2022, Fraser entered a relationship with Jeanne Moore, a makeup artist.
The two have not publicly discussed how they met.
However, it seems like a safe bet to say that they likely met through the entertainment industry.
Moore has worked with other big name talents.

Where do things stand today?
Moore has been supportive of Fraser in his career.
He publicly proclaimed his gratitude to her while accepting his Oscar for Best Actor.
These days, it's believed that Fraser still resides in Bedford, New York.
Whether you love him best for The Mummy or Doom Patrol or George of the Jungle or, hell, his small guest spot on Scrubs, Fraser is a national treasure. A continental one, even — as he's Canadian.
We're glad to see him finding happiness. And we'll be keeping an eye on his upcoming projects — including The Mummy 4.
We have tragic news to report out of Hollywood today.
Stephen Hibbert — a character actor who appeared in some of the biggest films of the 1990s — has passed away.
He was just 68 years old.
Actor Stephen Hibbert has died at the age of 68. (YouTube)
News of Hibbert's death comes courtesy of a statement from his three children, Ronnie, Rosalind, and Greg.
"Our father, Stephen Hibbert, passed away unexpectedly this week. His life was full of love and dedication to the arts and his family. He will be dearly missed by many," they wrote.
According to a report from TMZ, Hibbert died of a heart attack in Denver on Monday.
After starting his career as a writer for shows like Late Night with David Letterman, Mad TV, and Boy Meets World, Hibbert made the acquaintance of Quentin Tarantino while they were both performing with improv troupe the Groundlings.
Stephen Hibbert was not a household name, but he appeared in some iconic films. (YouTube)
"Quentin and I acted out a master and slave scenario for the casting director," he recalled in a 2024 interview with AARP (via Page Six).
"He bossed me around the office and I groveled. I felt like I'd been training all of my work life for an opportunity to audition for a role like that. Whee!"
That performance led to Hibbert's most iconic role:
Though he never showed his face and didn't have a single line of dialogue, Hibbert made quite an impression as "the Gimp" in the 1994 classic Pulp Fiction.

More than 30 years later, Hibbert's scene remains one of the most referenced and parodied in the entire film.
Later in his career, Hibbert worked as a "script doctor," punching up the screenplays of such modern classics as Shrek and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
He also had a small role in the latter film.
Again, Hibbert was not exactly an A-list housegold name. But his impressive contributions to some of the biggest film and television projects of the 1990s and 2000s deserve to be acknowledged.
Our thoughts go out to Hibbert's friends and family during his incredibly difficult time.
According to a new report from TMZ, pills were found in Britney's car when she was pulled over.

Those pills are now being tested by police in order to determine their chemical composition.
Now, if no illicit substances are found, then Brit probably won't wind up serving any jail time.
After all, this is her first DUI offense, and while she's had previous brushes with the law, she's never been convicted of any crimes.
Typically, first offenders are not forced to serve time. But if Britney was in possession of controlled substances at the time of her arrest, that's a different story.

Britney recently took a trip to Mexico, and insiders tell TMZ that she obtained Adderall while she was there.
If the pills are found to contain pure Adderall, then Ms. Spears is in the clear.
But if the pills are adulterated in any way — a common practice in Mexican pharmacies — then Brit might be in trouble.
Whatever the case, she's due back in court in May, at which time, she'll enter her plea for the DUI charge — and any additional charges that she might be facing.

As TMZ points out, Brit has been to rehab before, and this incident might be enough to inspire her to check back in.
Her blood test showed a BAC of .06, which is below the legal limit of .08.
But police say Britney was driving erratically, and the pills might be taken as evidence that she had other substances in her body in addition to the alcohol.
"This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life," Britney's manager, Cade Hudson, tells TMZ.
"Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time."
We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
The Duchess of Sussex raked in a estimated $27 million in sales of jam alone.
For a brand new company, that speaks to a powerful brand that sells a product that people want to buy.

Despite criticism from across the pond, Meghan Markle has received praise for her cooking segments in the US. (Image Credit: Netflix)
Is cancelation a surprise these days?
Meghan and Harry's tell-all documentary, Harry & Meghan, was a huge hit for Netflix.
However, their Polo documentary and With Love, Meghan were not hits on the same scale.
The latter series, as we mentioned, received favorable reviews in the US but blistering condemnation from the UK.
However, positive critical reviews from Americans doesn't always translate to Americans showing up to bring up those viewing numbers.
Besides, Netflix loves canceling things. It's, like, their favorite thing to do. And they're not alone — they're just pioneers in the practice.

First came love, then came marriage, but a pregnant Gwen Stefani? Is that really a possibility?
Ever since Gwen and Blake Shelton got together, fans have been eager for them to start a family of their own.
Rumors have been flying for years, with "sources" suggesting everything from medical miracles to secret pregnancies and beyond.
On the flip side, there have also been reports that the pair are headed for a split, but we choose to ignore that noise.
So, is Gwen Stefani, who turned 56 in October, pregnant? Let's discuss what we know.

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Love Being Parents
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton started dating in late 2015, shortly after both of them divorced their respective spouses.
While they seemingly had nothing in common, it was clear from the start that they were perfectly aligned when it came to the importance of family.
Gwen gave birth to three children with her ex, Gavin Rossdale: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
Meanwhile, Blake had no children of his own with his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert. In fact, some insiders suggested that the lack of kids was the reason for their split.
From the moment Blake joined the family, it was clear he was eager to be a role model for Gwen's boys and took to being a "stepdad" even before it was official.
In fact, he's become such a mentor to the boys, he's even started helping them launch their own musical careers! How about that!

Is Gwen Stefani Pregnant with Blake Shelton's Child?
Cards on the table: no, Gwen isn't pregnant. At least, not that she has announced.
But it's not completely out of the question that these two will still have a kid together – especially since they have been trying for over 7 years!
Gwen and Blake did not get married until 2021, but for years before that, it was reported that the pair were "hyper-focused on getting pregnant."
Insiders close to the couple told outlets like Us Weekly that their bond was so strong, Blake and Gwen put having a kid ahead of getting married for many years.

"They believe there is still a chance for Gwen," said an Shelton insider. "They are incredibly hopeful."
Despite having 3 successful pregnancies, Gwen was in her late 40's when she started dating Blake.
While celebs like Janet Jackson welcomed children into their 50's, insiders explained that Gwen needed some help if she was going to conceive.
"Gwen would love to get pregnant, things with Blake are so perfect, having a baby with him would be the icing on the cake.," a Gwen insider told HollywoodLife.com.
"She's a big believer in alternative medicine so she wants to do it in the most natural way possible. She's been getting acupuncture and working with a Chinese herbalist to increase her fertility."

However, as we know, as of 2024, any attempts to have a baby have not proven fruitful yet.
Still, there is always adoption and surrogacy. And ,with them both off The Voice now, there would be no real time to focus on a family.
Gwen Stefani Loves Being A Mother
"I waited my whole life to be a mom. That's all I wanted, my entire life"
The rock star mom appeared on a 2024 episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show's podcast, and she discussed how hard it was to juggle her kids while working, even though she loved being a mom.
From working on her solo album to touring with No Doubt, Kingston was always by her side.
"It just felt so real and right. I got so ripped off on that tour because I was so sick. I ended up taking the baby when he was 9 months and going and doing a world tour, like 120 shows … We're in a hotel one day and I thought that I had to stop nursing because I was like, 'How am I going to nurse and be on stage?'"

With all that said, Gwen had thought, once upon a time, that she was too old to have another child. Then her oldest, Kingston started asking her to have another sibling.
"I was like, 'I'm too old. I'm not having any more babies. I'm sorry, love,' " she said. "He just wanted a baby, so he would start praying every night for this baby. Four weeks later, praying every night like, 'Please, let my mom have a baby,' and I'm pregnant with Apollo."
Gwen calls that pregnancy a miracle. She also admits she's been lucky enough to have 3 miracles happen in her lifetime.
"[Hosting The Voice] was the second miracle. The first miracle was getting pregnant. The second was The Voice. And then the third was, obviously, meeting Blake."
Perhaps a fourth miracle is due? Fourth baby, fourth miracle – stranger things have happened!
Janelle Brown took to Instagram this week in order to acknowledge the most heartbreaking anniversary any parent could ever envision.
On Thursday, the long-time Sister Wives cast member shared a new Instagram post that was directed at her son Garrison… who took his own life on March 4, 2024.

"Hi sweetheart. I've felt you around today. This is my favorite picture of you. You were so happy," Brown wrote as a caption to a photo that feature Garrison in military garb.
"I had protected this day on my calendar for weeks. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I wanted the ability to choose when the day arrived."
As fortune would have it, Janelle officially moved into her North Carolina home on the anniversary of Garrison's passing.
"It turned out the movers I hired to help me bring the big things from storage to the new house could only move me today. I think it was the perfect thing," she explained to both her son and her followers.
"I was so busy but it was also significant to me that today would have signs of the new chapter, the new life that has begun for me since you left."

"I knew he was struggling. I always just picked up the phone and I always make it a point to just talk to him. And it wasn't really about anything," Brown told this outlet last year, adding:
"He would go through periods where he was really good, and then he just would have a binge, just as part of the cycle, I think…
"I don't know what happened that night he did that because he's had other nights like this where he would drink and then pass out, and he would go kind of radio silent, but he'd be back in the morning. "I don't know. I don't know what happened this time."
It's just so, so sad.

Aside from Garrison, Janelle and Kody Brown — who were spiritually married from 1993 to 2022 — share children Logan, 31, Maddie, 30, Hunter, 29, Gabriel, 24, and Savanah, 21.
In a September episode of Sister Wives, Janelle and Maddie revealed they planned to honor Garrison on their North Carolina property with a flower garden.
"Garrison's always in our thoughts, right? And we will definitely, probably have a part of the flower garden that's really more of a memorial to him and to Bob's Floral, his Hawaiian shirt shop," Janelle said at the time. "He'll always be here. He will be represented here for sure on this property."
Love Story might be the hottest show on TV right now.
But actress Daryl Hannah is decidedly not a fan of the melodrama based on the lives of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
Hannah dated JFK Jr. before his marriage to Bessette, and to say that her portrayal in the show is less than flattering would be putting it very mildly.
Daryl Hannah attends the "Paradox" Premiere 2018 SXSW Conference and Festivals at Paramount Theatre on March 15, 2018 in Austin, Texas. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for SXSW)
Now, she's calling out the show and its executive producer, Ryan Murphy, for distorting the facts of her life.
"I have long believed that engaging with distortion often amplifies it," Hannah wrote in an essay published by the New York Times.
"But a recent tragedy-exploiting television series about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette features a character using my name and presents her as me," Hannah continued, adding:
"The choice to portray her as irritating, self-absorbed, whiny and inappropriate was no accident."
"The actions and behaviors attributed to me are untrue."
She went on to accuse the show of "textbook misogyny" by portraying her as a "rival" to Bessette.

Hannah also called out the series for depicting her as a habitual cocaine user who was desperate to marry Kennedy.
"I have never used cocaine in my life or hosted cocaine-fueled parties," she wrote.
"I have never pressured anyone into marriage. I have never desecrated any family heirloom or intruded upon anyone's private memorial. I have never planted any story in the press. I never compared Jacqueline Onassis' death to a dog's."
She added that in the weeks since the show debuted, she has "received many hostile and even threatening messages from viewers who seem to believe the portrayal is factual."

"My silence should not be mistaken for agreement with lies. Apparently, my discretion makes me a target," she continued.
"Know that most (if not all) of those claiming to have any intimate knowledge of our personal lives are self-serving sensationalists trading in gossip, innuendo and speculation."
Hannah also called out Love Story for dishonoring the legacy of the Kennedy's by portraying such tragic events in such an irresponsible manner.
Kennedy and Bessette were both killed when a plane piloted by Kennedy crashed in 1999. Hannah has been married to rock legend Neil Young since 2018.
Murphy and the rest of the producers of Love Story have not yet responded to Hannah's comments.
This is a great opportunity for the people who've been waiting for her to make a mistake.
How does ex-husband Sam Asghari feel?
He didn't plan to speak about his ex-wife, but when the topic came up, he answered.
Sam Asghari speaks on NewsNation, primarily to address the longtime plight of the Iranian people and his hopes for the future. (Image Credit: NewsNation/YouTube)
He didn't intend to talk about Britney Spears at all
Like many Iranian-Americans, 32-year-old Sam Asghari has nuanced takes on Trump's illegal war on Iran.
The deaths and war crimes are adding up. Over a thousand people, many of them innocents — and even children — have died.
But the Ayatollah was a vicious ruler and a butcher who, earlier this year, had slaughtered tens of thousands of his people for protesting his brutal regime.
So Asghari has to walk the narrow line of horror and celebration, calling it a "bittersweet moment" while talking to NewsNation.
After discussing his hopes for the Iranian people after nearly half a century under totalitarian rule and also discussing his recent film about gay Iranians, another topic arose.
Asghari then faced a question about his famous ex-wife, Britney Spears, in the wake of her DUI arrest earlier this week.
It is very common for people to bring up topics where Asghari might, if he chose, bash his ex.
Consistently, Asghari has refused to do anything of the sort.
He and Britney married in 2022 but ended up divorcing the following year, despite a half-dozen years together before their nuptials. What does he have to say about the DUI?
Sam Asghari and his family left Iran as children, fleeing the regime. (Image Credit: NewsNation/YouTube)
This is a great show of diplomacy
"My focus has been on the Iran situation," Asghari countered. "Because it's been such a huge situation."
He added that the plight of Iran's 90 million citizens "deserves my full attention."
However, he did address Britney — even without name-dropping her.
"As it goes [for] the past, I cannot skip the past," Asghari acknowledged. "I celebrate the past."
He then affirmed: "I think everybody makes mistakes, and everybody deserves privacy."
He had more to say, but only a little.
"If we learn from history," he suggested, "we have to understand the press could hurt somebody recovering from a situation like this."
Bold of Asghari to suggest that anyone might learn from history.
Bolder still for him to imply that those in charge are more interested in Britney's well-being than they are in milking the story for hysteria.
Considering that this is a man whose homeland just escaped a totalitarian monster but is now the center of a war that seems intent upon destabilizing the entire region, he handled the question with a great deal of grace.
Actor and producer Sam Asghari discusses his recent film. (Image Credit: NewsNation/YouTube)
Is there any hope at society being normal about Britney?
Asghari's diplomacy is very becoming. It is also exactly what his ex needs right now.
There are a lot of people who are invested — some financially, but most emotionally — in watching the "downfall" of Britney.
The truth is that she made a mistake. Drinking and driving, as she was allegedly doing on Wednesday night, is not okay.
We hope that she is well. We hope that she is safe.
And we are glad that at least one of her ex-husbands isn't looking to cash in on her misfortune.
The accident left Harrison with 11 fractured ribs, a punctured lung, a concussion, and internal bleeding.
Corey was in the hospital for 18 days and was forced to miss the wedding of his father, Pawn Stars patriarch Rick Harrison.

Now, a GoFundMe page has been launched with the goal of helping Corey manage his medical expenses.
"Help Corey 'Big Hoss' Harrison Recover from Devastating Motorcycle Accident in Mexico," the page begins.
"If you've watched Pawn Stars, you know Corey — 'Big Hoss' — as the quick-witted guy behind the counter who always brings the laughs and tough negotiations," writes Corey's friend Aron Chambers.
"Off camera, he's just Corey: loyal, proud, independent, and someone who's always there for his friends and family. Right now, though, he needs our help more than ever.
The page goes on to explain that Corey began to feel the financial strain from his injuries before he even left the hospital.
He left against the wishes of his doctors and returned to his home in Tulum, where his situation worsened.

"After 14 grueling days in the hospital, the financial pressure became too much, and Corey had no choice but to check himself out against medical advice," Chambers writes.
"Corey was incredibly hesitant to take heavy pain meds, especially after losing his brother Adam to an overdose just last year, but the agony left him with no other option," he continues, adding:
"The next day, his oxygen levels plummeted to dangerously low levels. In a heartbreaking moment that shook all of us to our core, Corey looked at us and said, 'I'm just going to die out here. I don't have the money to keep paying these people.'"
Chambers explained that the fundraiser is being conducted with Corey's "full knowledge and blessing."
Obviously, Corey's plight is a serious one that's all too familiar to the millions of Americans dealing with overwhelming medical debt.

But Corey has been a star on a wildly popular reality show for 17 years.
His father is a wealthy man who rubs shoulders with some of the biggest moguls in the country.
So it's not surprising that some folks have taken issue with Corey's indirect plea for cash.
"Dude, your dad is worth $10M. Maybe ask him and the rest of us the f–k alone," replied one X user to TMZ's tweet about the fundraiser.
"Celebrity asks fans to help pay medical bills after his health ordeal. His dad is worth millions of dollars," another wrote.
"Another shameless celebrity millionaire with a gofundme," a third chimed in.
The indifference toward Corey's financial issues might be evident in the fundraiser itself, which has raised just $5,000 toward its goal of $18,000
Farrah Abraham and her daughter, Sophia, took a trip for the latter's birthday.
They went to Egypt. Farrah's getting flack for wearing so little while posing at sacred sites.
She and Sophia also opted to get matching tattoos.

'Headed to the pyramids with my Cleopatra'
Wearing less, perhaps, than is customary for such a trip, Farrah posed on the back of a rearing camel for photos in front of the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Sophia was there, too, though covering up a bit more than her mother with a somewhat goth look in all black.
In the caption, Farrah added some topical context for their trip.
"Headed to the #pyramids with my cleopatra @sophialabraham, right before the USA killed the Iranian leader," Farrah wrote on Instagram. "And now no American can go to the Middle East."
She offered vague emotional support to the people of Africa and the Middle East, claiming: "you can always have a home in America." Unfortunately, that has never been less true.
In her own post (though whether Sophia wrote it is a matter of some debate), the birthday girl shared a look at their new tattoos. Yes, they got mother-daughter matching tats.
"Our tattoos represent eternal life, eternal love, eye of Ra, eye of Horus, and inspired egyptian hieroglyphics as seen in ancient egyptian history!" the Instagram caption reads.
The caption also detailed: "The Arabic writing translates to 'eternal love.'"
As you can see below, these are large tattoos on the bases of their necks.
Many people wonder if Farrah wrote this for Sophia. If Sophia wrote it, then that would mean that she emulates her mother's worrisome, often-nonsensical writing style.
We do not read Arabic. But we do know a thing or two about Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Unless the video is reversed, it appears that Farrah has the wedjat-eye of Ra and Sophia has the wedjat-eye of Horus (more properly, Heru). These are symbols of, among other things, divine protection.
The ankh is a sacred symbol of life. We cannot think of any instance of seeing these hieroglyphs combined in this way.
Some may view these as merely historical symbols. But hieroglyphs are, by definition, sacred. Many, especially Kemetics, revere the Egyptian gods and employ these sacred markings.
Admittedly, it is unclear why someone who does not follow this faith would want these explicitly religious symbols. But they could be part of Sophia's belief system; that is, of course, her business.
During a radio interview, Farrah Abraham shared some unorthodox ideas. (Image Credit: YouTube)
What should we make of all of this?
First and foremost, Farrah's struggle to understand political realities is very unsurprising.
Right now, the same mad king who has launched an illegal war in Iran has also brought about the arrests of thousands of legal immigrants, including asylum seekers.
So, unfortunately, no, those displaced by this senseless war of choice cannot have a home in the US. Not right now.
As for Farrah's touristy nonsense … we suspect that the Egyptian people have seen worse.
Did someone believe that Farrah and Sophia were sisters? If so, it's an insult to Sophie.
In November of 2015, Jessa and Ben welcomed Spurgeon, who is definitely old enough to have opinions about having that name.
In 2017, they welcomed Henry. Jessa gave birth to Ivy in May 2019, giving her the best name of the batch.
She and Ben went on to welcome Fern (a fantastic name, albeit unusual among cis folks) in July 2021.
In 2022, the Seewalds welcomed George.
Finally (for now), in the summer of 2025, Jessa and Ben welcomed Edward.

'Their eyes are so dark and sunk'
On social media, and particularly on Reddit, a number of longtime Duggar-watchers expressed concern.
"Their eyes are so dark and sunk," a redditor remarked.
"And I've never been one to care about messy hair for kids," the OP acknowledged, "but something is OFF about it."
The Reddit denizen declared: "They just don't look healthy, any of them."
We can definitely see that the Seewald children appear to have sunken eyes. What could be the cause?

Plenty of people chimed in to agree, and speculated as to the cause.
There are six children in a two-parent household.
Even under the best of circumstances — which is obviously not the case, given that Jessa and Ben became parents very young and hold extreme beliefs that put them on the fringes of American Christianity — that would not be ideal.
Numerous people brought up the idea of emotional neglect.
This seems like a dubious explanation. Could there be a simpler reason for why the children look like this?

Maybe they come by it honestly
Numerous commenters have suggested that genetics could be an explanation. And it makes a lot of sense.
Jessa has somewhat sunken eyes. Veteran Duggar-watchers pointed out that she looked like this as a child.
In fact, Jessa's maternal grandfather, Garrett Ruark, had a similar sunken eyes look.
Like those of us who ended up with nostrils or eyebrows from our grandparents, Jessa got that trait from Michelle's dad. And now she has passed it on to her own children.
We suspect that genetics and hereditary traits are a little too close to certain forbidden scientific topics, like evolution, for Jessa or Ben to want to delve too deeply into a discussion on the topic.
