Lindsay Clancy Lawyer Says She’s on Suicide Watch Due to ‘Horrible Dreams’

Lindsay Clancy was back in court today, as her defense team continued fighting to prevent her from facing another murder trial.

The Massachusetts mother, who is charged with murdering her three young children, appeared alongside her attorneys for a hearing that could have significant implications for the future of her case.

But while the legal battle continues, Clancy’s attorney offered a troubling update about her client’s emotional state.

Speaking with CBS News ahead of the hearing, attorney Rosemary Scapicchio revealed that Clancy remains on suicide watch while being held at Tewksbury Hospital.

“She doesn’t want to be here,” Scapicchio said. “She wants to be with her children.”

The attorney also disclosed that Clancy continues to experience what she described as “horrible dreams about this.”

Monday’s hearing centered on a defense motion seeking to dismiss the charges against Clancy on double jeopardy grounds.

Her attorneys argue that constitutional protections should prevent prosecutors from putting her through another trial following the outcome of her first one.

Judge William Sullivan heard arguments from both sides and said he would take the dismissal request under advisement.

The legal proceedings follow a dramatic conclusion to Clancy’s first murder trial, which ended in a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.

The jury reportedly split 11-1 in favor of finding Clancy not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility.

Clancy faces three counts of murder in connection with the January 2023 deaths of her children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was just 8 months old.

She has not denied killing the children. However, her defense team has maintained that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and the effects of overmedication at the time of the tragedy.

Following the deaths, Clancy survived an apparent suicide attempt that left her seriously injured. She has remained in custody at Tewksbury Hospital.

Her legal team has also undergone some changes in recent months. Attorney Martin Weinberg joined the defense in September, working alongside longtime trial attorney Kevin Reddington.

Prosecutors, meanwhile, have opposed the defense’s request to dismiss the charges.

Whether Clancy will face another trial remains uncertain. If Judge Sullivan rejects the double jeopardy argument, prosecutors could potentially pursue a second trial, although no decision about that possibility has been announced.

For now, Clancy’s fate remains in the hands of the court, as her attorneys continue attempting to keep the case from moving forward.

Jessica Alba Deletes Post-Attack Nancy Kerrigan Halloween Costume Pics

Martha Stewart’s Halloween controversy wasn’t the only costume debacle to arise over the weekend.

Now, Jessica Alba has deleted her costume photos after she and a friend dressed as Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.

How bad was it? Well, we still have the photos, so let’s take a look.

The 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan lives on

Alba posted yet deleted her controversial Halloween costume photos.

Over the weekend, she shared a post with the caption: “Happy Halloween from Tonya … and Nancy.”

That would be Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.

Alba wore a white dress with matching tights and ice skates and a bloodstained knee bandage.

Her friend, Kelly Sawyer, wore sparkling maroon and carries a baseball bat.

These costumes reference the 1994 attack in which Kerrigan was violently sabotaged ahead of the Olympic qualifiers.

Tonya did not personally carry out the attack and has never been criminally convicted on any involvement. She did, however, receive a lifetime ban by the US Figure Skating Association.

Harding’s ex-husband hired Shane Stant to attack Kerrigan. He used a police baton rather than a baseball bat, for the record.

It was a tragic yet sensation story from the 1990s. Alba was just a kid, perhaps a middle-schooler, when that made headlines across the nation.

The ahistorical elements of the costumes, however, were not what made them controversial.

Responses were mixed

The backlash, which was likely the cause of Alba deleting the photos, accused this of being insensitive or at least in poor taste.

This was, after all, a violent attack.

Kerrigan went on to heal and recover and continue her career as a figure skater, reportedly signing a multimillion-dollar endorsement deal in the early ’90s before even competing in the Olympics.

But just because the fame ended up helping her career does not mean that it was not a brutal attack intended to sabotage and potentially disable her.

However, others were singing a different tune.

On social media, many pointed out that the brutal attack that the Halloween costume references took place over 30 years ago.

Additionally, there have been films — for television and even feature films (I, Tonya was a pretty big deal, folks) — covering the incident, at times irreverently.

Is dressing as Harding and Kerrigan a super sensitive thing to do? Probably not. It’s definitely on the edgy side.

But it’s also Halloween. This wasn’t a case of blackface, for example. If anything, we’d argue that Alba’s only mistake was publicly posting the costume for the internet to dissect.

There are genuinely bad, thoughtless Halloween costumes in the world. Others are just better left as a private joke rather than a public display.

Sydney Sweeney’s Halloween Costume Sparks Surprising Controversy

Well, Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun may have been hoping to enjoy a low-key Halloween together.

Instead, their matching costumes have become the latest thing for social media users to argue about.

The Euphoria star gave followers a peek at the couple’s October 31 celebration by sharing a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories.

Sweeney and Braun were both dressed in brown bear outfits, complete with makeup on their noses to make them look like little bear snouts.

The actress captioned the photo, “Happy Halloween from your favorite party animals.”

It was a coordinated look, and apparently a comfortable one. But not everyone was feeling the couple’s cozy approach to Halloween. The costumes quickly attracted a mix of criticism and compliments online, with some commenters seemingly expecting a little more effort from the pair.

“They’re nobody’s favorite,” one person wrote.

Another was just as unimpressed, commenting, “Y’all ain’t anybody’s favorite.”

A third questioned the creativity behind the choice, writing, “Whole day dedicated to creativity and they choose bears.” Someone else offered a blunt assessment of the outfits, describing them as “BORING LAZY SLOPPY.”

Probably not the reaction that the couple expected from a pair of bear onesies. We’re guessing some of these folks were hoping for a racier look from Sydney.

Still, the internet was not united in its disappointment. Some fans thought Sweeney and Braun looked perfectly adorable together, and they were more than happy to say so.

“Queen making her haters crash out just by wearing a bear costume,” one supporter wrote. Another commenter declared, “Okay, the bear costumes are actually adorable,” while a third added, “They’re sooo cute! couple goals asf.”

So, depending on which corner of social media one visits, Sweeney and Braun either phoned in Halloween or pulled off a perfectly sweet couples costume. The outfits themselves were hardly complicated, but the reaction managed to turn a simple holiday snapshot into a debate.

The celebration also marked the couple’s first Halloween together, making the matching bear look a small relationship milestone.

Sweeney did not appear to be asking followers to judge the costumes, of course. She shared a playful photo and a cheerful caption, only for the commentariat to do what it does best: offer unsolicited reviews.

At least the couple had one thing figured out. They were on the same page when it came to dressing up. Whether the bears were creative enough is apparently a matter social media has yet to settle.

Did Lenny Kravitz Die in Fiery Florida Jet Crash?

Over the weekend, a horrific tragedy unfolded as a jet crashed in Florida.

All nine people on the craft died.

After a pilot’s post described Lenny Kravitz’s flight along that same route, many feared that the musician was among the dead.

There is a lot that no one knows about the crash, but we can clear up some details.

The plane crash had no survivors

On Sunday, November 1, a Learjet crashed in a South Florida mobile home park while en route to the Bahamas.

It was a grisly scene, where fires continued to burn long after the (literal) dust had settled.

(We would like to remind everyone that jet crashes and industrial disasters often release dangerous chemicals into the air, including slow-acting carcinogens. Please do not breathe these fumes if you can avoid it.)

There were no survivors from the crash.

21-year-old pilot Emily Shelton had previously posted on Facebook about her excitement to fly Kravitz.

“Honored to be flying the one and only Lenny Kravitz from [Austin-Bergstrom International Airport] to [North Eleuthera Airport, Bahamas] tomorrow,” she wrote on Facebook.

“Looking forward to having him on board,” she continued. “’It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over’ is gonna be playing in the cockpit.”

When the public learned that one of the co-pilots of the $2 million Learjet was also a young woman, many panicked.

Fortunately, even as we mourn the nine victims of the crash, we can at least reassure Kravitz’s fans.

The one silver lining is that ‘the reports are untrue and incorrect’

Carleen Donovan, a representative for Kravitz, spoke to BocaNewsNow.

“The reports are untrue and incorrect,” the statement said.

That is succinct, but appropriately so.

Shelton has since deleted her FB post (which is why we’re showing it to you in that ghastly light mode), and clarified that she, too, is alive.

There are still people on social media who appear to believe that Kravitz has perished. That has, in part, been fueled by AI-generated nonsense floating around. We hope that we can help clear up this alarming disinformation.

Smaller planes tend to, statistically, be more dangerous than larger, commercial planes.

We are not aerospace engineers, but it appears to be a combination of the structure of the craft and some human factors.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all nine victims of the crash.

We also extend our sympathies to those in the mobile home park in the vicinity of the plane’s debris, who are now contending with potentially dangerous wreckage as well as an area swarmed by investigators, onlookers, and more.

This was a tragedy. It did not involve Kravitz, but it is still deeply sad.

Tucker Carlson Claims US Is ‘Within Days’ of Launching Nuclear Strike on Iran

Journalist Tucker Carlson took to social media late Sunday night with an alarming claim about the US war with Iran.

Carlson claims the US is “within days” of launching a nuclear strike against the Mideast nation under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He outlined his allegations in a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter) that quickly went viral.

“The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program,” Carlson wrote, adding:

“No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike.”

Carlson went on to offer a detailed timeline about the ongoing nuclear talks:

“Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons,” he wrote.

“That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.”

Carlson credits the Trump administration for pushing back against Netanyahu’s alleged nuclear ambitions.

But he adds that the White House has been laying the ground for such plans for months.

“Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called ‘battlefield nukes’ easier and therefore more likely,” he alleges, adding:

“No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.”

Carlson concluded with a grim reminder of the tremendous toll a nuclear strike would take:

“One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up,” he wrote.

People have deeply hurt Britney Spears. Her awful father is not the sole villain in her life.

In a new post, she’s opening up about how sister Jamie Lynn and ex-husband Kevin Federline treated her.

“I will find a new family,” Britney solemnly vows. Many have felt as she does.

Late on Sunday, November 1, Britney took to Instagram to vent about years-old slights from people who were once so important in her life.

“I will find a new family!!!” she began her caption, alongside a photo of Dakota Fanning flipping the bird in Uptown Girls (2003).

“Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy one time,” Britney lamented, “when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips.”

Jamie Lynn is her younger sister. Ivy is Britney’s niece.

From context, it doesn’t sound like this was a COVID precaution — but perhaps it was, and Britney took it personally? This next one has no such excuse.

“And Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house!!!” Britney recalled.

She is referring to ex-husband Kevin Federline, with whom she shares now-adult children Sean Preston and Jayden James.

“They made me feel like a slave,” Britney commented, possibly in reference to one of her many hits, “Slave 4 U.”

“And,” she continued, “have all their secret things they did behind my back.”

Frustrated, Britney concluded: “And all I ever did was work for my dad!!! I will find a new family!!!”

‘All I ever did was work for my dad’

It is clear that Britney feels deeply unhappy with the way that people who were once so important in her life treated her.

We cannot speak to Jamie Lynn’s motives. Many people have taken issue with her apparent abuse of a Britney-owned property that she publicly treated as a “vacation home,” but the niece development is new.

As for Kevin … sometimes, the feelings that change after a breakup become so dramatic that they become almost a ritual of avoidance.

There are people whose exes are dangerous. If Kevin didn’t allow Britney to use the bathroom in his home, though, it was just an extreme boundary.

Protecting your peace is important. But if someone is your former spouse and the mother of your children, setting an unreasonable boundary is probably going to leave a lasting impression.

Why is Britney airing these grievances in public instead of finding a more helpful way to discuss them?

Well, for one thing, during her lengthy conservatorship, Britney was forced to see therapists and psychiatrists who worked for her father against her will. She was also dosed with powerful, mind-altering drugs against her will.

She has developed an understandable distrust for therapy. It will take time for her to realize that voluntary therapy, where she picks the doctor, is very different.

However, one has to imagine that Kevin Federline’s reported massive debt could be an issue. The guy seems to be six figures in the hole with no clear mechanism to make up what he owes.

One could imagine that this news, even if there were no private pleas for help, may have gotten her thinking about how she has been wronged by people who were once central to her life.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Slammed in UK Over Reported Australia Move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing a fresh wave of criticism in the UK, just a few months after the couple moved back to Harry’s home country.

A recent poll found that many people would rather not see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stay in Britain at all. Instead, respondents said they’d prefer the couple relocate to Australia, Reality Tea reports.

Some critics were even more blunt.

The couple has been told “We do not want them here,” with some Brits openly urging Harry and Meghan to set up their lives somewhere else.

The Australia idea comes from those poll respondents and critics, not from any announced plan by Harry and Meghan. As far as the reporting goes, the couple’s home is in England.

Harry and Meghan relocated to the UK in August, and they’ve been living at a non-royal base outside London ever since.

The move marked a major shift for the family. Harry and Meghan had spent six years living in California after stepping back from their royal duties in 2020.

Harry opened up about the decision in a recent interview with GQ, his first since the family’s return, and explained that returning to the UK was a last-minute decision rather than a long-planned one.

“We’ve had plans in the past, and I think for lots of people, it’s like, if you’re going to make a big move like this, that’s going to take a lot of planning,” Harry said. “For us, it was very short.”

He added that the couple had discussed the possibility before, but acted once the circumstances felt right.

“For us, when certain stars align, and it’s clear that this should or probably will end up being the case, then we lean into that,” he explained.

Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, were a big part of the decision. Harry said he wanted them to experience the country where he grew up.

He hoped the kids could discover the good parts of his own childhood while avoiding some of the less pleasant experiences he went through.

But the GQ interview itself drew plenty of backlash from royal watchers. One expert warned that Harry was making a “big mistake” by discussing his family rift in public, claiming it could destroy any chance of reconciling with Prince William and King Charles.

One royal author went even further and called the interview “tone-deaf,” taking issue with its timing and with Harry’s habit of addressing the family situation publicly.

A separate royal expert claimed that Harry’s openness about the feud has fueled Prince William’s fears. The Prince of Wales has reportedly been wary of the Sussexes airing private family matters.

Harry has said repeatedly that he wants peace with his family. His critics argue that continuing to talk about those strained relationships in the press works against that goal.

Now the new poll adds public opinion to the pile, with a chunk of Brits suggesting the couple would be better off on the other side of the world.

For now, Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet remain at their home base outside London, roughly three months after making the move.

The Daily Mail reports that on Sunday, November 1, Shue and Fiebig married at their New Jersey farm.

Fiebig looked beautiful (as always — wild to think that Holmes fumbled her) wore an off-the-shoulder lace dress with a matching shawl.

Meanwhile, Shue wore a classic suit without a tie for the low-key marriage ceremony.

13-year-old Sabine, whom Fiebig shares with Holmes, wore a navy blue dress. She was a bridesmaid.

Only close friends and family, including Shue’s actress sister, Elizabeth Shue, were present. Considering the spectacle under which they began dating, a small wedding sounds tasteful and appropriate.

In October, Shue and Fiebig announced their engagement.

This was far from spontaneous.

They had already been dating for three years, starting in 2023 after Holmes and Robach publicly got together after their cheating scandal and (not unrelated) firing.

Shue and Fiebig gushed over their happy ending.

Strong relationships are often built upon shared experiences. These two uniquely understand each other and what they have gone through.

Not every heartbreak has a happy ending (but this one did)

On September 19 of this year, Robach and Holmes married after what one might generously refer to as three years of dating.

In truth, of course, the once team of co-anchors on GMA3 had quietly become an off-screen couple, each cheating on their spouses.

In December of 2022, ABC yoinked them off of the air concerned about the scandal blowing back upon Good Morning America.

(Remember, for television, public reactions matter more than traditional ethics. While most people might view adultery as an indiscretion and a personal betrayal, GMA viewers skew older and often more traditional.)

The following month, ABC officially fired them both. They have since gone on to launch a podcast and, of course, to marry.

Honestly, this is the kind of happily-ever-after story that makes for a genuinely good, like, romantic TV movie.

We know that, sometimes, people ask if they make TV movies that aren’t about Christmas. They do. Just not as many as they once did.

We’re genuinely happy for Shue and Fiebig. That said, some have lost the plot in seeing this as a “revenge wedding” instead of just a happy ending.

It’s important to remember that Robach and Holmes had a professional indiscretion that was also a personal betrayal of their respective families. But they’re not, like, evil.

Among other things, Robach did but was not allowed to publish an Epstein story years and years ago — after threats from Kensington Palace. She had a long history as a journalist before she ever held hands with Holmes.

Martha Stewart Deletes Her ‘Poor Person’ Halloween Costume From Social Media

Martha Stewart issued a second apology on Sunday after dressing up as a homeless person for Halloween, admitting that her first attempt at damage control fell short.

“It’s hard to admit when you’ve really screwed up,” the lifestyle mogul said in a new statement shared by Page Six.

“My earlier statement didn’t go far enough. I know many people are suffering economically. Wearing a costume like I did was insensitive and not funny,” Martha continued.

It’s a major reversal for the 85-year-old, who spent the first part of the weekend insisting the costume had a higher purpose.

The controversy started on Saturday, October 31, when Martha shared Halloween photos of herself on Instagram.

In the images, she wore tattered clothing, including ripped jeans, and had makeup applied to make it look like dirt was caked on her face.

She also held a sign that read, “I AM HUNGRY HELP ME!!”

The post reportedly doubled as a promotion for candles, a detail that did not help her case with critics.

The backlash was swift, and Martha deleted the photos from her account.

By then, however, screenshots were already circulating across social media, and the costume was being picked apart by fans and fellow celebrities alike.

Martha’s first response did not go over much better.

In a statement to the same outlet that later published her apology, she said she was “distressed” by the reaction and claimed she had “intended to bring more awareness to homelessness” with the look.

She also maintained that offending anyone was “never my intention.”

Martha then went a step further and defended the costume directly in the comments section of an entertainment outlet’s Instagram post about the controversy.

Critics argued the explanation only made things worse, pointing out that dressing up as someone experiencing homelessness for a holiday party is a strange way to raise awareness of the issue.

Among those who spoke out was Pose star Indya Moore, who slammed the costume and later reacted to Martha’s “awareness” statement.

Plenty of fans piled on as well, with one X user writing, “People like her disgust me.”

Others questioned why a woman with Martha’s fabulous wealth would choose a costume built around someone begging for food.

The wealth angle has come up again and again in the backlash, with Martha widely described as a multimillionaire in coverage of the scandal.

She has never been shy about her success. Just last month, Martha revealed on the “Other People’s Business” podcast that she once earned $65 million a year from her Kmart royalties alone.

“We were selling close to $2 billion worth of merchandise,” she said at the time, adding that the deal funded the development of her magazine and the rest of her business.

That kind of fortune made the “I AM HUNGRY” sign land especially badly with people who are struggling to pay their bills.

Martha wasn’t the only star to catch heat for her Halloween choices this year, as her look ended up included in roundups of the most offensive celebrity costumes of 2026.

But hers drew some of the loudest criticism, largely because of how firmly she stood by it at first.

Martha has spent decades building her image as America’s ultimate homemaking authority, and she has stayed in the headlines in recent months with everything from a cheeky Instagram tease about “releasing my nudes” to her blunt take on Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand.

Those moments mostly earned her laughs and applause.

This one went in a very different direction, and it took Martha two statements in two days to fully own it.

The rumor: Vanessa Bryant is pregnant

Last year, rumors that Vanessa Bryant might be pregnant emerged — at first, seemingly out of nowhere.

The beloved widow is 43 years old, so a pregnancy is likely very possible. But where did these rumors originate?

As the days continued, it became clear that these theorists were pointing to specific images in which she might be concealing a baby bump.

Of course, with no clear timeline on the pics, fans weren’t sure what to make of it.

Obviously, some were quick to rush to congratulate Vanessa Bryant for allegedly being pregnant.

As we here at THG have repeatedly stressed, the time to talk to someone about their pregnancy is when they tell you that they are pregnant, or when you see the baby crowning.

Standard social politeness means never jumping the gun on this kind of alleged development.

Clearly, enough people were jumping to conclusions for Bryant to see the rumor. And she issued a response.

So what is the truth?

In a recent Instagram Story, Vanessa addressed the rumors directly.

“Can you guys decide already…..,” Vanessa wrote, adding:

“Am I pregnant for the 100th time or am I getting remarried???”

We can see shey she might be feeling annoyed. After all, this is not the first time she’s been forced to address these rumors.

On June 1 of 2025, Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram Story to debunk the claim that she is pregnant.

And she got a little help from Rihanna. Sort of.

As you can see in the screenshot, she decided to hit back at the claims, writing:

“Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.”

Bryant used a string of classic Rihanna paparazzi photos in which the phenomenal singer was carrying a drink and wearing snorkeling gear — and had opted to flip the bird at photographers who were capturing her summer fun.

The message is clear: Vanessa Bryant is not pregnant and has no plans to become pregnant (at the very least, for the duration of the summer, which begins on the night of June 20 and ends in the afternoon of September 22).

Additionally, she’s clearly — albeit by proxy — flipping the bird at people who are hassling her with rumors.

Especially given that pregnancy rumors so often carry an undercurrent of body-shaming. Enough is enough.

This is an understandably sensitive topic

Despite the online chatter about Baby #5, Vanessa Bryant has only welcomed four children.

Natalia is 23. Bianka is 9. Capri is 6.

After her seven-year marriage to Seal ended, the beloved model and television personality played the field for years.

She ended up married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz in 2019. The 16-years-younger musician even became a stepdad to her four children.

Tom Kaulitz and Heidi Klum first became an item in 2018

In March of that year, Klum and Kaulitz sparked dating rumors when kissing on the set of America’s Got Talent.

However, they gradually went public through joint public appearances and showing up together on social media. In particular, that May, they attended the Cannes amfAR Gala together.

The two packed on the PDA.

In December of 2018, they became engaged after one year of dating.

Like Klum, Kaulitz is from Germany. In fact, his place of birth is East Berlin … because, pretty famously, Germany was once split down the middle.

Tom Kaulitz is a twin

Whether you’re a fan of their Netflix reality show, Kaulitz & Kaulitz, or their podcast, Kaulitz Hills — Mustard from Hollywood, you know that Tom has a twin brother, Bill.

As the name of their podcast might imply, the Kaulitz brothers live nearby, even joining each other for extended family breakfasts sometimes.

And, as we mentioned, they had their own Netflix reality series.

In 2001, at the age of 15, the Kaulitz brothers formed Tokio Hotel, a rock band that has a fair amount of name recognition. (Just not as much as Heidi Klum does)

Kaulitz is the lead guitarist. Bill is the lead singer.

There are, in fact, other members of the band, but neither of them are husbands or brothers-in-law to Klum.

Klum is so supportive of her husband’s music career that she loaned him a dress to wear for their music video to remake the song “Monsoon.”

After getting divorced once, Heidi Klum wanted to be sure before she married Tom Kaulitz.

And, clearly, she was.

The two married in secret in early 2019, just two months after becoming engaged in December 2018.

It was only in August of 2019 that they held a huge public wedding, complete with a celebration in Capri, Italy (possibly the most beautiful place in the world) with the ceremony on a yacht.

Mom Accused of Killing Son Permitted to Trick or Treat With Surviving Kids

A Georgia mother facing serious criminal charges in connection with the death of her 1-year-old son has been granted permission to take her other children trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Deja Coleman, who is accused of leaving her baby, Daniel, inside a hot car while she worked at a hospital, will be allowed to go door to door with her children at Rainbow Village in Gwinnett County.

The residential community serves families experiencing homelessness, and Coleman is currently living there under house arrest.

A judge approved the Halloween outing on Thursday, October 29, according to WSB-TV Atlanta.

There are, however, some important restrictions. Coleman is being monitored by GPS and cannot leave the Rainbow Village property. So while she can participate in the holiday with her other children, the outing must remain within the complex.

Coleman has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children in connection with Daniel’s death.

Investigators say she brought her older children to daycare but failed to bring the baby inside before heading to work.

According to police, Coleman then drove to the hospital, parked her vehicle and began her shift at approximately 7 a.m. She allegedly did not realize Daniel was still in his car seat.

The child was not discovered until around 3:50 p.m., when a hospital employee noticed him unresponsive inside the vehicle.

Off-duty officers at the hospital reportedly broke a window to reach the child and remove him from the car. Daniel was already dead.

The conditions inside the vehicle were especially alarming. Investigators said the temperature inside the car had reached 117 degrees, and it reportedly remained that hot even an hour after the child was found.

Law enforcement officials have offered some insight into Coleman’s state of mind following the tragedy.

Captain Dena Pauly told WSB-TV that Coleman was “devastated” when she learned what had happened. Detectives believe she was overwhelmed at the time, rather than distracted.

That detail does not change the charges Coleman is facing, and the allegations have not been adjudicated in court.

But the judge’s decision means she will be able to spend Halloween with her other children while remaining under the restrictions of her house arrest.

The ruling concerns only Coleman’s permitted movements while awaiting the resolution of her criminal case. She will remain subject to GPS monitoring and the restriction preventing her from leaving the residential complex.

A lot changed in Neve’s life during their marriage. Namely, in 1996, she became extremely famous by starring in Scream. (Not that Party of 5 was a blip, but still.)

During that time, their marriage also fell apart.

It appears that the relationship remained mostly private.

The two reportedly split after just a few months with little drama or fanfare.

In 2005, Neve began dating John Light. The two actors had met while filming Investigating Sex.

In December of that year, they became engaged.

The engagement lasted until their May 2007 marriage in Malibu.

In June of 2010, Neve filed for divorce in Los Angeles court. It was over.

With obvious chemistry, they were soon dating, announcing in March of 2012 that they were expecting their first child, Caspian.
