Amy Schumer is showing off her weight loss.

During a weekend when much of the country's occupation was either eating or shopping, the comedian struck a very different tone.

She posted what might have been thirst traps — if her adorable son weren't photobombing the snaps.

Schumer has explained her weight loss journey to fans. It started with an Ozempic horror story a few years ago.

Amy Schumer is showcasing her weight loss results

On Saturday, November 29, Amy Schumer took to her Instagram page to share three photos highlighting her weight loss.

While she does not look unrecognizable (the controversial comedian has very distinct features), she does look remarkably different.

The photos show her posing on a set of stairs.

We see Schumer wearing a yellow dress that features bows and ruffles.

She shares a son, Gene David, with husband Chris Fischer. The 6-year-old is photobombing some of the snaps, bringing a delightful energy to the photos.

"Trying to go to the party but someone won't go to bed," Schumer captioned the photos.

Gene was born in 2019. Not going to bed during a holiday weekend sounds very age-appropriate.

"@gitabass takin pics and painting me with @tousledbyjae dress by @maisonvalentino," she credited.

Schumer continued her shout-out: "Thanks @luxury_checkins skin as always by @georgialouisesk."

Commenters, celebrities and commoners alike, were quick to flood the replies with praise over her figure.

Ozempic was a horror story, but she found a different medication

As we previously reported, Amy Schumer explained her weight loss journey earlier this year.

In March, she revealed her weight loss injection use. Following a bad experience with Wegovy, she swapped over and had better results with Mounjaro.

The GLP-1 drug is not the same as Ozempic, which is a semaglutide.

Mounjaro is tirzepatide medication. For weight loss marketing, many know it by the name "Zepbound."

For Schumer, it was exactly the medication that she sought.

Incidentally, Schumer's clinic didn't specialize in weight loss. Midi Health's claim to fame is treatment for menopause and perimenopause.

The comedian was having perimenopause symptoms.

In addition to the Mounjaro, Schumer went on estrogent and progesterone.

HRT saves lives and improves lives in many ways.

For Schumer, her perimenopausal symptoms have vanished. She feels better, her sex life has improved, and there have been signs of improved health — such as her hair and skin.

Using diabetes medications for luxury weight loss is deservedly controversial

As Amy Schumer is even more aware than most, bodies and weight loss are extremely polarizing topics in our culture. Especially women's bodies.

The comedian herself has elicited criticism for going after other famous women (however jokingly) for losing weight.

(Far from Schumer's most controversial remarks, of course)

There remain many unknowns about the long-term effects of these weight loss medications. They are, after all, diabetes medications that are now serving for luxury weight loss despite known side effects.

In the time being, some people are enjoying how these injections allow them to eat extremely small amounts of food without feeling like they are starving (even if they are literally starving themselves).

It's not the "medical miracle" for weight loss that many seek, but some feel that it's the next best thing. And they're willing to risk their future health for weight loss in the here and now.

And over the long Thanksgiving weekend, Sydney did what she does best, using her considerable natural talents (we won't delve into the question of her "good genes") to deliver an Instagram post for the ages.

In a post captioned merely "friendsgiving week," Sydney offered up a carousel of photos and video clips that show her truly living her best life:

We see her enjoying Disneyland and an island getaway, participating in a spelling bee for some reason — all in the company of her squad of adoring besties.

But the pics that really broke the internet were the ones showing Sydney at some sort of Shrek-themed costume party.

Sydney went as Dragon, the fire-breathing beast who wins Donkey's heart in the beloved films.

That might not sound like a very hot ensemble (dragon pun fully intended), but Sydney definitely brought the heat.

It's not hard to see why Donkey might have been tempted to violate his rule against inter-species dating for a mythical beast like that.

This, of course, is not the first time in recent weeks that Sydney has gone viral simply by going out in public looking like herself.

Sweeney's see-through gown was the talk of the internet in November, and now, she's already lighting December on fire with her scorching costume.

Of course, for all of the good this year has brought in terms of Ms. Sweeney's career and public image, there were plenty of challenges, as well.

Sydney has dealt with numerous controversies, including plastic surgery speculation and the drama surrounding her American Eagle ad campaign.

Possibly as a result of these mini-scandals, Sydney starred in several box office bombs, and the situation has resulted in serious questions about her bankability as a movie star.

But filming for Euphoria Season 3 is currently underway, and Sydney still enjoys a whopping following of more than 25 million on Instagram.

Sister Wives: Kody’s Daughters Like David Woolley More Than Their Dad!

Kody Brown does not have a great relationship with his kids.

This isn't exactly a secret.

The Sister Wives star himself has admitted as much.

On the latest episode of this TLC reality series, however, daughters Ysabel and Maddie didn't just emphasize the loss of connection they feel to their father… they focused on the strong bond they have with another older male.

"When my mom and David first started dating, it all happened, like, very fast, and I wasn't used to another man in my mom's life. So, I was really worried about what kind of role he would take up," Ysabel said on air, referring to Christine and David Woolley's whirlwind romance before they exchanged vows in October 2023.

"I was worried mostly that he would take up the role of dad in our family, which, we have a dad."

Ysabel added that she feared Wooley "might take up too much space," but then said that David "doesn't do that" and he "never oversteps," expounding as follows:

"He's very respectful. He's very respectful of my dad. He's very respectful of my mom and her kids and that she is a mom to us and that he is her husband and not our dad."

Christine Brown walked away from Kody in late 2021 and Ysabel says she's had very little contact her her father ever since.

This isn't unusual, unfortunately.

We recently learned that Maddie hasn't spoken to Kody in YEARS.

"I am open to reconciliation and forgiveness and just closure," Maddie said on this episode. "But if he ever wanted to be let back into our lives, there would need to be a pattern of consistency."

We somehow doubt Kody is capable of this.

"My dad and I do not talk very often, no," Ysabel went on to tell viewers. "My dad and I aren't, like, close, close, close, close, close, close. But I mean, he's still my dad and I love him."

This is far more of a forgiving stance than Leon Brown has of Kody.

She blasted her dad last week for being a total liar and hypocrite.

"Let me be so f***ing clear: I have not heard from that man since my brother killed himself," Leon wrote via their Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 25, referring to Garrison Brown's death.

"Kody blatantly blew me off at Garrison's funeral. He is a joke of a father. That's all."

On The Voice, losing Brandon Blackstock hit home for Reba McEntire.

The ex-husband of Kelly Clarkson, Blackstock passed away this past summer.

Naturally, the tragic loss of her stepson came up in the form of song.

One moving and beautiful performance hit just a little too close to home for Reba. But that wasn't a bad thing.

Reba McEntire had a bittersweet experience on 'The Voice'

On a recent episode of The Voice, Reba McEntire could not help but think of Brandon Blackstock's passing.

Music is an evocative experience, bringing up emotion and memory — second only to smell when it comes to dredging up the past.

Reba felt that personally, when Team Reba artist Aubrey Nicole sang during the episode.

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It" is a Martina McBride song.

The lyrics follow a couple grappling with a cancer diagnosis.

"Martina's a good friend of mine," Reba commented after the performance.

She acknowledged: "I lost my oldest son because he did not win with cancer."

Reba was referring, of course, to stepson Brandon Blackstock. He passed away on August 7, at the age of 48, after a battle with melanoma.

"That was a real reminder that life goes on," Reba affirmed. "And we sing songs about it so we can remember the ones around us that we love so much, that we lean on at times like this."

She praised Aubrey Nicole, saying: "You did a great job."

Brandon Blackstock was part of her life for most of his

Sometimes, adults marry and find themselves with an adult stepchild whom they see a few times per year and get to know slowly — if at all.

But that is not how things played out for Reba.

She married Narvel Blackstock in 1989. The two only split in 2015, after Brandon had married Kelly Clarkson.

To put this into perspective, Brandon was part of Reba's life for the entirety of Taylor Swift's life.

When she talks about losing him, she's talking about someone she knew and loved for nearly 40 years.

In August, it fell to Shelby — Brandon Blackstock's half-brother, the son of Reba McEntire with Narvel — to share the McEntire family's grief.

"Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured," Shelby wrote at the time.

"Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son," he grimly acknowledged.

The statement concluded: "Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family — funny, bright, and full of life — and he will be deeply missed."

Reba replied to that with a tasteful addition: "Very well said Shelby. Yes we will miss him so much."

Obviously, she has spoken about this loss before now

Meanwhile, Reba posted her own tribute.

"Last week, my stepson/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God," she wrote in a tweet.

"His struggle is over and he is in eternal peace in God's presence," she announced. "There is no one else like him, and I'm thankful for the time we had together."

Reba concluded: "His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family. Rest in peace cowboy. Happy trails to you til we meet again."

As many of us know, grief is not a linear progression. Eventually, you will be fine for days or weeks — and then the loss will hit you anew. A powerful song can be evocative and bittersweet.

The duchess' Thanksgiving video was always going to be a target — especially since most of her critics do not celebrate the holiday as we know it.

But critics are pointing out a glaring hygiene issue in her food prep.

Last week, Meghan Markle took to her Instagram Story to share a video of part of her Thanksgiving preparations.

A clip showed her mixing seasonings into a bowl and then rubbing the mixture onto the turkey.

"Let the 'game' begin," Meghan quipped, utilizing a painful pun.

The music for the video was "Turkey Chase" by Bob Dylan.

While Meghan's self-acknowledged "mom jokes" induced cringing, that was not the cause of the outcry.

In the video, Meghan applied the rub with her bare hands.

This is normal, if not universal, for people making food in their own kitchens at home rather than in an industrial setting.

However, Meghan appeared to still be wearing her gold bracelet and ring during the process.

Jewelry can sometimes create little "traps" where germs can avoid water, abrasion, and soap.

Though some only learned this at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, proper handwashing involves removing jewelry and separately sanitizing it.

Criticisms range from targeting her hygiene to complaining about normal ways of preparing a turkey

A now-viral Reddit thread, "Salmonella Sussex," highlights the outrage that Meghan Markle critics are feeling.

"She has the worst kitchen hygiene. The 'domestic' goddess is clueless," griped one redditor.

"The more she pretends to be a cook, the more fake she shows herself to be," the critic then claimed. "Jewelry rubbing up against the meat, hair shedding, and her grubby paws stroking the poor dead bird,"

Another weighed in: "I don't even put on my jewellery when applying makeup, and I remove them when cooking. Jewelry are known fomites for infections."

An additional Reddit denizen wrote: "I've cooked multiple turkeys and never put my hand in one like this ffs. She's a blithering idiot in the kitchen."

"Lordy, she so obviously knows absolutely nothing about cooking or how to work in a kitchen. For the safety of humanity, keep her out of the kitchen," an extremely hyperbolic critic worte.

"Aside from the hair, jewelry, and bare hands all over that turkey, it's astonishing how she also had her damn forearms laying across the body of the turkey at times," marveled another.

That critic continued: "She might have well been naked and rubbing the darn thing all over herself. What an idiot! It's such a treat she is getting called out like this."

As you can tell from a number of these comments, some critics simply seem unfamiliar with traditional preparations for a Thanksgiving turkey.

That fits with several diction choices that would indicate that the writer is more likely from the UK than from the US.

Let's be honest: she can never 'win' with most of these people

To be clear, raw turkey can contain various germs — of which salmonella is merely the most famous.

Raw poultry can easily contaminate kitchens and cooks. People may be less cautious than they are with pork or beef. They will touch aprons, those nasty cloth hand towels (please use paper towels in the kitchen), tools, and countertops.

And yes, wearing jewelry while cooking is often unwise. Especially if there could be sanitation concerns.

But, as we alluded earlier, some critics didn't seem to understand extremely normal ways of preparing a turkey. That is because they're not culinary snobs — but simply dislike the duchess.

To be blunt, Meghan Markle could have followed every single hygiene concern stated, and most of these same people would likely have taken another issue.

Meghan can do no right in many people's eyes. Which is likely why she (wisely) doesn't seem to try. Just for the record, it's likely that she removed and sanitized her jewelry while washing her hands. Because that's just common sense.

Karen Sofia Quiroz Ramirez Cause of Death: Motorcycle Influencer Was 25

Karen Sofia Quiroz Ramirez, the influencer who gained fame with her motorcycle-related content, has passed away.

She was just 25 years old.

'Bikegirl' seemingly predicted fatal accident in final post

News of Ramirez's passing has been confirmed by several South American media outlets, as well as TMZ.

The popular influencer — known as "Bikegirl" online — reportedly lost control of her motorcycle and ran into a truck in Floridablanca, Colombia on Wednesday, November 27.

Bizarrely, Ramirez seems to have predicted the fatal collision in her final social media post.

"I hope I don't crash because I'm driving without my glasses," she wrote.

"The most likely hypothesis for the accident is that the motorcyclist was traveling between two vehicles," Transport official Jahir Andres explained.

"But this situation will be subject to an investigation. The Prosecutor's Office will proceed to clearly and precisely determine the cause of this fatal traffic accident," Andres continued, adding:

"We will carry out the corresponding investigations, conduct the respective interviews with witnesses, and analyze the CCTV footage."

According to an X user who claims to have knowledge of the situation, the Colombia native "suffered an accident after her glasses (lenses not suitable for motorcycling) broke. The breakage caused her a loss of visibility, which led her to crash while trying to overtake. After the impact, a truck ran her over."

With more than 30,000 followers on Instagram alone, Ramirez was one of the most popular and beloved influencers in the biker community.

The clip, presumably shot by Erika, shows the Kirks' daughter, Gigi, reacting to signs featuring photos of her father.

"And as she grows up and continues to say your name, I'll be reminding her that each time Heaven leans in to listen," she continued, adding:

Not surprisingly, Erika's followers were deeply moved by the post, and many of them shared words of support in the comments:

"This is at once beautiful & heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing this intimate moment with us," a third chimed in.

Erika Kirk introduces J.D. Vance at Ole Miss event

Erika has stayed busy in the wake of her husband's murder, and she recently introduced Vice President J.D. Vance at a speaking engagement at Ole Miss.

"When our team asked my dear friend, Vice President JD Vance, to speak today, I really prayed on it because, obviously, it's a very emotional, emotional day," Kirk told an arena packed with students, adding:

"But I could just hear Charlie in my heart. I could just hear him say, 'Go reclaim that territory, babe.'

"The battle's already won. God's love conquers. And that's why I'm here today," she concluded.

Footage from the event will reportedly be featured in an upcoming Fox News documentary about the Kirks.
