Rice University Student Dies After Posting ChatGPT ‘Devil Trend’; Cause of …

We have a disturbing story to report out of Houston today, and we'd like to warn our readers that the following article contains a number of unsettling details.

Claire Tracy, a student and star soccer player at Rice University, was found dead in her apartment earlier this month, shortly after participating in the viral ChatGPT "devil trend."

She was just 19 years old.

Now, medical examiners have confirmed that Tracy died by suicide.

According to a Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences report obtained by People, Tracy died of "asphyxia due to oxygen displacement by helium."

While we don't know what factors might have led her to take her own life, many have noted that Tracy participated in a viral TikTok challenge known as "the devil trend" one day before her death.

The trend involved asking ChatGPT a detailed question about the devil.

"I'm doing 'the devil' trend on TikTok. I will say 'the devil couldn't reach me,' and you will answer, 'he did,'" Tracy explained in her TikTok video.

"Then, I will ask 'How,' and you will give me the most brutally honest answer based on everything you know about me," she continued.

"Because you did the work for him. You took that sharp, unfiltered intelligence of yours — the same mind that can write in metaphors most people can't even feel — and drove it straight into yourself," the AI platform replied.

"You saw too clearly, thought too deeply, peeled every layer back until there was nothing left to shield you from the weight of being alive," the message concluded.

"In chat we trust, he ain't' wrong," Tracy captioned the post.

Shortly thereafter, she posted her very last video.

"Accepting that the big lock in just isn't going to happen this time," Tracy said in the clip.

"#college #university #exams #cooked #fyp," she captioned the post.

News of Claire's death was revealed to her classmates in a statement from Rice University's Dean of Undergraduates, Bridget K. Gorman

"It is with deep sadness that I am writing to tell you that Claire Tracy, a second-year undergraduate student, passed away on Sunday," Gorman wrote.

"Claire was a finance major and had close friends and a bright spirit," the dean added. "Our hearts go out to Claire's family and all who knew her and are grieving her loss."

How many children does Serena Williams have?

Serena Williams is a mother of two. She shares both children with her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

In April of 2017, an accidental Snapchat post revealed her baby bump.

It also revealed that she had been pregnant while winning the Australian Open Grand Slam.

At the time, she was pregnant with Alexis Olympia, who goes by "Olympia."

Presumably rather than share a name with her father, which is understandable. Serena welcomed Olympia via emergency C-section on September 1.

On August 15, 2023, Serena Williams gave birth to her second daughter, Adira River Ohanian.

In 2024, she posted an Instagram tribute to her second daughter, calling her a "true light."

She named her daughter a Hebrew name, meaning "Strong One."

Serena Williams posted a follow-up in which she gushed over Olympia's role as a big sister.

"Olympia is always there for me," she praised.

"Adira came along … she is so special, so fun, so funny, so loving, so sweet, and so strong!!!" Serena expressed.

"You see, God makes your heart get bigger," Serena Williams wrote.

She explained: "Because my love for Olympia has not dimmed."

She had previously wondered about her ability to love with two children.

At present, there are no indications that Serena Williams is pregnant.

However, that could change.

Brigitte Bardot, Legendary French Actress, Dead at 91

We've lost an icon.

Brigitte Bardot — a French actress who helped usher in a sexual revolution on the big screen with her sensual, uninhibited performances in movies such as Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt" — has passed away.

She was 91 years old.

The Brigitte Bardot Foundation confirmed the long-time had died in a statement shared with the French news agency AFP.

"The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with immense sadness the death of its founder and president, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to abandon her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation," the statement read, according to the BBC.

The outlet didn't specify the time or place of Bardot's death.

"The Brigitte Bardot Foundation pays tribute to the memory of an exceptional woman who gave everything and gave up everything for a world more respectful of animals," the foundation added.

"Her legacy lives on through the actions and struggles the Foundation continues with the same passion and the same fidelity to her ideals."

Brigitte Bardot kicked off her career as a model, eventually appearing on the cover of Elle in 1950 at the age of 15.

In 1952, at 18 years old, Bardot appeared in the film Manina, the Girl in the Bikini.

She garnered international recognition for her role in the 1957 movie And God Created Woman, earning the label of global sex symbol in the process.

Other memorable credits included 1960's The Truth, 1963's Le Mépris and 1965's Viva Maria!; Bardot also pursued a music career, releasing her debut album, Brigitte Bardot Sings, in 1963.

Late on Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to Bardot, saying she "embodied a life of freedom."

"Her films, her voice, her dazzling glory, her initials, her sorrows, her generous passion for animals, her face that became Marianne (the symbol of the French republic), Brigitte Bardot embodied a life of freedom," Macron wrote on X.

"We mourn a legend of the century."

In 1971, Michael Douglas began dating fellow actor Brenda Vaccaro, following the filming of Summertree.

That romance would go on to span six years of their lives.

During their relationship, they welcomed one child. Their son, Cameron, was born in 1978.

In 1995, after nearly 20 years together, Diandra filed to divorce Michael Douglas.

The settlement included a payout to her to the tune of $45 million.

Michael Douglas' most famous relationship is with Catherine Zeta-Jones

In March of 1999, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones began dating.

They were both already immensely famous stars — and quickly made it clear that they were serious about each other.

On November 18 of 2000, Douglas and Zeta-Jones married.

They have welcomed two children. The pair had son Dylan Michael on August 8, 2000 and daughter Carys Zeta on April 20, 20003.

Despite their famous romance and two shared children, there have been bumps along the way.

Late in the summer of 2013, People reported that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were living separately.

In fact, the report alleges that the two had begun this informal separation — without filing for anything — in May of that year.

However, reports maintained that they were taking a break to make the marriage work.

By November, they had reportedly reconciled and were once again living together. By 2015, Douglas was characterizing their marriage to as "stronger than ever" while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres.

In October of 2023, RadarOnline claimed that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were effectively divorced in all but name. Memorably, Zeta-Jones has expressed disgust over divorce and has no desire to do it.

"The marriage is over, but they don't want to do the whole divorce and separation thing," the insider alleged.

"So, they have this arrangement that's working for them because nobody knows about it. They are definitely living separate lives."

If Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are really divorced in all but name, they're doing a great job of hiding it.

As of early 2025, there was still no official buzz about any marital rift in the longtime Hollywood couple.

Mickey Lee Cause of Death: Big Brother Contestant Gone at 35

Terrible news this week out of the reality television universe:

Mickey Lee, a contestant on the most recent season of the CBS reality show Big Brother, has passed away.

She was 35 years old.

Lee's family confirmed the death in an Instagram shared on Friday, December 26. It read as follows:

"With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening.

Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike.

"She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen."

According to various celebrity gossip outlets, Lee had been hospitalized due to multiple cardiac arrests as she battled complications from the flu.

Lee was a resident of the most recent Big Brother house for 59 days and was the final contestant to be evicted before the jury phase got underway.

She was best remembered on the CBS program for using her "HoH Interrogator" power to dethrone Rylie Jeffries as Head of Household.

She then turned around and nominated Rylie for eviction… before he won his way off of the chopping block and Jimmy Heagerty went home instead.

Lee had been in the ICU prior to her death, according to a GoFundMe created on December 22.

The event planner was from Jacksonville, Florida, but had been based in Atlanta, based on this same page.

"A vibrant, strategic, and unforgettable personality, Mickey captured the attention of fans with her energy, authenticity, and bold gameplay," reads a section of the GoFundMe. "She brought charm and fierce competition to the Big Brother house as an event curator and creative force."

The fundraiser continued:

"This sudden health crisis has left Mickey and her family facing enormous emotional and financial strain from mounting hospital bills to ongoing care and recovery costs."

In the wake of this passing going viral, Big Brother alumni — both from season 27 and from previous editions — have begun to post their condolences on social media.

"This is absolutely horrible," Big Brother 27's Will Williams wrote via Instagram. "Life is so short. Mickey was an incredible spirit and a joy in the house. Prayers to her family. The big brother family will miss her dearly."

Added Big Brother 13 winner and season 27 house guest Rachel Reilly-Villegas:

"Sorry for your loss and my prayers for your family RIP MICKEY you are missed – love to all of you."

There was also this from Bayleigh Pelham wrote:

"This is so heartbreaking. I'm so happy she got to live out an experience of a lifetime on big brother and share her light with the world. I'm honoured to have met her for a brief moment. She was SO kind and beautiful, I was truly amazed by her light. This one hurts. Sending all my love to her family and friends."

Robin Thicke met his first wife when he was only 14

When Robin Thicke was 14 years old, he met then 15-year-old Paula Patton. They were at Balistyx, an under-21 hip-hop club on the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles. It was 1991. He asked her to dance.

Unlike the vast majority of high school-aged relationships, they remained together for many years.

In a disturbing turn of events, 2017 saw Patton accuse Thick of child-abuse. Though a judge initially declined to limit Thicke's custody, Patton later received sole custody — and a protective order covering her, their son, and her mother.

In 2014, the year of his separation from Paula Patton, Robin Thicke and model April Love Geary met at a party.

By 2015, they were making their debut at public events together.

Thicke and Geary welcomed their first child, Mia Love, in February 2018.

Robin Thicke and April Love Geary remain together to this day.

They have weathered hardships together.

In late 2018, the couple lost their Malibu home to the devastating fire that consumed a tremendous amount of property.

Thicke remains a deservedly controversial figure, both as a rapper and as a human being.

King Charles Pushes for “Courage and Reconciliation” in Historic Christmas …

King Charles wrapped up a challenging year with an encouraging message for both his nation and, really, the entire world on Christmas Day.

For the first time, King Charles recorded his annual statement at the Lady Chapel in Westminster Abbey, which is typically known for its royal weddings and coronations.

The monarch did so after providing United Kingdom citizens with an update on his cancer treatment.

At one point in his speech, the British sovereign said that "pilgrimage is a word less used today, but it has particular significance for our modern world…

"It is about journeying forward into the future while also journeying back to remember the past and learn from its lessons."

The speech comes at the end of a VERY turbulent year for the Royal Family.

In November, the king stripped his brother Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his titles and honors and has tried to evict him from the Royal Lodge for his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Charles also has been facing an undisclosed type of cancer.

On Thursday, Charles reflected on the "courage and sacrifice" of World War II and praised "the way communities came together," in his traditional speech … which coincided with the 80th anniversary of the end of the conflict earlier this year.

The king stressed "we need to cherish the values of compassion and reconciliation," and also said: "As we hear of division, both home and abroad, they are values of which we must never lose sight."

In times of uncertainty, he added, "resilience in the face of adversity; peace through forgiveness" and "showing respect to one another" are what bring hope."

It's also worth mentioning here that Charles continues to be estranged from son Prince Harry and that daughter-in-law Kate Middleton has also been battling cancer over the past year and a half or so.

The 2026 address was aired after the Royal Family made its annual processional to St. Mary Magdalene Church.

The Christmas Day walk, which included Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, but not their parents, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.

As he spoke on December 25, video was shown of Charles meeting survivors and emergency responders in Manchester… before the broadcast featured people laying flowers at a memorial honoring Bondi victims and survivors in Australia.

The tradition of the monarch's Christmas broadcast dates back to 1932 and was first delivered by George V. It has since become a staple of the holiday for many Britons who gather to watch and listen to it at 3 p.m. on Christmas Day.

According to the Palace:

"Each Broadcast carefully reflects current issues and concerns, and shares The Monarch's reflections on what Christmas means to them and their listeners. Over the years, the Christmas Broadcast has acted as a chronicle of global, national and personal events which have affected the Monarch and their audience."
