Kevin Federline Reportedly Drowning in 6-Figure Debt After Britney Spears Payments End

Reading Time: 3 minutes

He was once called a “professional father” by Sam Asghari.

Kevin Federline doesn’t appear to be beating that particular allegation.

A new report sheds light upon his jarring debts.

By all accounts, it looks like the money dried up as soon as support payments from Britney Spears did.

$117,704 is a lot of money to owe

Page Six reports that they obtained documents on Federline’s hefty credit card tab.

At 48, the father of several children — two of whom with Britney — owes at least $117,704 to City National Bank.

This six-figure debt includes a credit card, a personal line of credit, and an overdraft line.

Federline reportedly signed the bank agreement back in November 2024.

Both Sean Preston and Jayden James, his sons with Britney, are now young adults with September birthdays. It sounds like the funds were already running out.

As THG has previously reported, Federline was receiving $40,000 per month in child support from Britney.

At the end of both boys’ experiences in high school, they were in Hawaii, where Federline and his wife had moved.

Sean Preston turned 18, resulting in those child support payments going down to $20,000 per month.

Then, it was Jayden James’ turn to graduate from high school.

That money, Federline has claimed, went towards security as well as the boys’ standard of living.

What comes next?

According to the City National Bank lawsuit, Federline had until August 2026 to pay his credit card debt.

His personal line of credit, meanwhile, was due in June 2025.

The overdraft line was due in April of that year.

The bank’s lawsuit also seeks to extract accrued interest on all three debts. In the case of the card, that’s over 20% interest.

We do not know how Federline plans to pay off this alleged debt.

Child support, spousal support, and more that stems from celebrity divorces can seem absurd.

But we must remember that it is vital that, when a celebrity couple breaks up (or, dare we say it, any couple), children do not have to spend some time in a mansion and other times battling food insecurity — or even living at significantly lower means.

The idea is that divorce should never be a sentence of homelessness or death to the lower-earning spouse, and should ideally cause as little disruption to the children’s lives as possible. (Most of the time, it is already significant enough.)

Of course, Federline and Spears were only married for barely more than two years. They married in September 2004 and divorced in autumn of 2006. So this is not like a couple where one partner sacrificed a potential career to support a spouse or raise children for 10 years.

Debt can happen to anyone. It is not shameful or immoral to owe money. But many question how Federline was seemingly unable move on with new income beyond payments stemming from a two-year marriage.

Hopefully, Federline can find a solution to these debts. Clearly his Britney-bashing book full of incendiary claims didn’t cover it. Whether or not he asks to be bailed out, he might want to start by making nice with the mother of his sons.

Dolly Parton Memoir Sold After (Secret) Bidding War: What Will She Reveal?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Not even her tragic passing can keep her from working “9 to 5.”

The late great Dolly Parton has received an award, starred in a commercial, and spiritually visited Miley Cyrus.

Now it has been revealed that she penned a memoir before she died. She knew that she was sick, after all.

After a heated and secret bidding war, the book has sold for a hefty sum. What will Dolly share posthumously?

We all want to read this memoir

Page Six reports that Dolly’s secret posthumous memoir has sold for $13 million.

This followed an intense yet secret bidding war among publishers.

Dolly passed away in the middle of August at the age of 80.

At this time, we do not know when Dolly wrote her memoir. We can also only guess at its contents.

However, Dolly was an internationally beloved figure who kept some aspects of her life very private. The book is all but guaranteed to be a smash hit.

According to the report, literary agency Folio sold the publishing rights to Dolly’s memoir.

Notably, Folio previously did similar work for Dolly’s Songteller: My Life in Lyrics back in 2023.

Apparently, the bidding began with a $12 million offer — which, given the layers of secrecy, prompted skepticism and confusion among some publishers.

However, reports say that Grand Central ended up bidding $13 million and “won the book.”

(There are disputes about that number, as some say that the amount was lower but that the royalties will be higher than the usual 50/50 split.)

What will the memoir contain?

Dolly led an extraordinary life. She was an actress, a singer, she had her own theme park.

She was also a cultural icon, beloved by many generations. All generations, really.

To many, Dolly’s philanthropy — trying to make the world a better place rather than worse, which we know sounds like a foreign concept when we think of most of the ultra-rich today — was the most important aspect of her life.

At the same time, she kept most details of her TIME-year marriage to Carl Dean private.

Dolly’s memoir could have a lot of insights to share. And then, of course, there are potentially more polarizing topics.

In life, Dolly avoided partisanship. She even turned down the Presidential Medal of Honor three times.

People know that Dolly was probably left-leaning politically. She was a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, of Black Lives Matter. Her program that sent free books to children changed lives and boosted literacy. She donated $1 million to COVID-19 vaccine research.

Her beloved sister, Stella Parton, is an outspoken leftist. She has said that this has alienated the Trump crowd, even within the world of Country music.

Some wonder if Dolly will share her political views, explicitly, in her memoir. Others hope that she does not — as her ability to be political through charity and support without appearing partisan helped her achieve her beloved status.

Meanwhile, other speculate that she could comment on feuds, grudges, and which awful people may have crossed her path over the years. Dolly was a delight, but that doesn’t mean that everyone with whom she worked was the same.

Patrick Stewart Opened Up About ‘Non-Existent’ Relationship With Children Ahead of Death

Reading Time: 2 minutes

On Thursday, we reported on the death of Patrick Stewart. The beloved film and television star was 86.

Stewart may have spent decades portraying some of television and film’s most memorable characters, but the late actor carried a deeply personal regret that had little to do with his career.

Three years before his death, the Star Trek icon spoke candidly about his strained relationship with his two adult children, admitting that his bond with son Daniel and daughter Sophie had become “practically non-existent.”

Stewart made the heartbreaking confession during a 2023 interview with the Irish Independent.

At the time, he acknowledged that he was estranged from his children, whom he shared with his first wife, Sheila Falconer.

“I never thought that this would happen, but both my children are in their 50s — they’re not children anymore, they’re adults. And my relationship with them is practically non-existent,” he said.

The distance between them was not something Stewart brushed aside. He explained that the estrangement caused him “significant grief,” adding that there was not a day when he wasn’t pained by memories of his children and by the role he believed he played in shaping their lives.

And Stewart was candid about what he thought had contributed to the situation.

“I always put my acting work first, before my family,” he admitted.

The actor went on to say that he could have been a better parent when Daniel and Sophie were young. His career, he acknowledged, had consumed so much of his attention that everything else took second place.

“I could’ve done better as a parent, when my kids were little. I was just obsessed with my work and everything else took second place,” Stewart said.

He also suggested that he had tried to make amends with the next generation of his family. Stewart said he was attempting to correct those mistakes whenever possible with his grandchildren, adding that his children seemed to have forgiven him.

The actor’s reflections offered a glimpse at a side of the celebrated performer that audiences rarely saw. In the same period, Stewart reportedly considered whether Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the thoughtful leader he played on Star Trek: The Next Generation, represented the kind of father he wished he had been — or could have been.

Stewart and Falconer married in 1966 and separated in 1990. He later married film producer Wendy Neuss, with their marriage ending in 2003. In 2013, he wed singer Sunny Ozell, who remained his wife until his death.

Stewart died at age 86 on October 28, 2026, at his home in Los Angeles. His longtime spokesperson said he had experienced a brief battle with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia, and that he was surrounded by family and friends.

His career made him an icon. But in his own words, the relationships closest to home remained a source of profound regret.

Anonymous Celebrity Threatens Suicide If Named In Sexual Misconduct Investigation

Reading Time: 2 minutes

An unnamed celebrity is fighting to keep his identity out of the headlines as he faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

And his legal team is warning that exposing his name could have potentially fatal consequences.

The unidentified man, referred to as “PPT” in court documents, is seeking an injunction to prevent The Guardian and ITN from publishing his identity alongside allegations that he abused his celebrity status to pursue sexual relationships with young women and teenagers.

The allegations have not been proven, and the man vehemently denies the claims.

According to reports from the London High Court, his attorney, Sara Mansoori KC, argued that publishing the allegations would make another suicide attempt “highly likely.” She told the court that her client had already attempted suicide twice after the news organizations contacted him seeking comment.

Mansoori also said her client had been hospitalized for months, involuntarily detained, and examined by more than 10 doctors.

“This is not a case where an individual has spuriously raised ‘mental health’ concerns in the face of an impending publication that they do not wish to occur,” she argued.

The attorney maintained that the threat to her client’s life was genuine, insisting that the consequences of publication could be catastrophic.

However, the news organizations are pushing back against the effort to keep the celebrity anonymous.

Gavin Millar KC, representing The Guardian and ITN, argued that journalists had conducted a wide-ranging investigation involving more than 100 people, including 30 individuals who provided firsthand accounts.

The outlets contend that the allegations raise serious questions of public interest, particularly regarding the potential abuse of fame and influence. Their legal team also argued that many of the women who came forward had experienced significant emotional distress as a result of the alleged conduct.

The organizations maintain that preventing publication would undermine legitimate journalism and potentially prevent other women from learning about the allegations.

A medical assessment presented to the court reportedly found that inpatient treatment could substantially reduce the celebrity’s suicide risk, although it could not eliminate that risk entirely.

The case puts the court in a difficult position, weighing concerns about an individual’s safety and privacy against freedom of expression and the public’s interest in reporting allegations of potentially serious misconduct.

Justice Nicklin acknowledged the significance of the dispute, emphasizing that his responsibility was to determine whether the publications could legally proceed, not to establish whether the allegations were true.

The judge has reserved his decision and is expected to rule next week. Reporting restrictions remain in place while the parties await his decision.

The judge also issued a pointed warning against online speculation about the celebrity’s identity, making clear that repeated rumors do not transform speculation into established fact.

For now, the identity of the man remains protected, and the allegations against him remain unresolved.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Tyler Perry Fights to Keep Texts Private in Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The texts that we’ve already seen are embarrassing enough.

One of the former employees accusing Tyler Perry of sexual misconduct has possession of conversations that the mega-producer exchanged with others.

These texts are not yet public. Perry is asking the court to ensure that it stays that way.

Perry argues that these messages are private and could embarrass others.

Mario Rodriguez is in possession of text-based conversations

TMZ reports that Perry is fighting Mario Rodriguez in court over private text messages.

As part of the legal battle, Perry reportedly turned over private texts that he had with others over to Rodriguez’s legal team.

Perry is adamant that these conversations remain confidential.

One major issue, he argues in court, is that there are financial matters that come up in these conversations.

Another note is that the associates with whom he spoke believed that their own conversations were private. So it is no longer merely about Perry’s privacy.

As such, he does not want Rodriguez to release these conversations, in part or in whole.

His legal argument, the report details, is that these associates have nothing to do with the lawsuit.

Disclosure of their texts, he notes, would cause both annoyance and a public embarrassment.

Rodriguez did not immediately fire back in court.

However, with a $77 million lawsuit on the line, his own attorney is sure to have a rebuttal soon.

These are not the same texts as those released over the past year or so

Rodriguez is one of two men who have acted on Perry’s projects only to later accuse him of sexual misconduct and sexual assault.

(The other man, Derek Dixon, appears in text exchanges in which he and Perry nervously discuss anxieties about guilt, sex, religious trauma, and more in a tone that many argue is inappropriate between a boss and employee.)

In 2015, Perry and Rodriguez apparently met in 2015 at a gym.

This, Rodriguez has since described, led to his casting in Boo! A Madea Halloween.

It took a few years, Rodriguez alleges, before working for Perry turned into becoming a victim of sexual assault.

Rodriguez’s $77 million lawsuit details that Perry allegedly asked him if he liked oral sex during a 2018 visit to the producer’s home. Perry then allegedly groped his genitals.

At a later date, when Rodriguez apparently felt comfortable believing that this was a one-time transgression, Perry allegedly repeated the offense, grasping at his penis.

Both times, the lawsuit claims, Perry would give him small payments ($5k) alongside an apology.

Perry’s legal team has argued that Rodriguez only filed this lawsuit after Perry declined to offer him further financial assistance, claiming that he is simply after money — not justice.

Rarely, that can happen. But sometimes, a victim knows that money is the best justice that they’re likely to get.

Barbara Barrie, Legendary Actress, Dies with Medical Assistance at 95

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The award-winning actress was nominated for both an Oscar and an Emmy for related projects. She also wrote books.

Now, Barbara Barrie has passed away at 95.

According to her daughter, her death was medically assisted after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Barrie will be remembered for her writing, her acting, her activism, and more.

She was 95

On Wednesday, October 28, the actress and Oscar nominee died at her home in Manhattan.

Jane Harnick, her daughter, told The New York Times that her mother’s death was medically assisted.

Barrie had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

This was not her first fight with cancer, and cancer was not her only serious health battle.

It’s clear that she decided that, at 95, she did not want to fight what doctors told her would be a losing battle.

In 2014, Barrie received a diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2014.

IPF is a degenerative disease with an unknown cause (thus why it is idiopathic), though there are known risk factors such as smoking and GERD.

The scarring of lung tissue in someone with this disease normally results in declining lung function and an average of 4 years from diagnosis to death. Barrie clearly beat those odds.

Twenty years earlier, in 1994, she was successfully treated for rectal cancer.

She went on to write two books about surviving cancer, encouraging people to get early screenings and stating that detection was “more important than acting.”

She’d been winning acting awards since over 60 years ago

Even with her very astute priorities made clear, we should emphasize that her acting career was singular.

In 1964, Barrie received the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for One Potato, Two Potato. Films about interracial relationships were distinctly uncommon at the time.

After 1979’s Breaking Away — her most famous role — she received an Oscar nomination.

Though she did not take home the Academy Award, the film did win an Oscar for best screenplay.

She reprised her role on the television series that followed the film, which resulted in a 1981 Emmy nomination.

On top of her extensive work in film and television and on stage, and on top of her books, she also led a personal life.

In 1965, she married Jay Malcolm Harnick — also an actor but also a director and producer.

Together, they had two children: Jane and Aaron Harnick. Though Jay passed away in 2007, both children are still alive.

In the early ’70s, Barrie signed her name to the “We Have Had Abortions” campaign to push for human rights against archaic laws. Like other heroic women of that time, perhaps she did not imagine that so much of her good work would be undone in her own lifetime.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this time.

Meghan Markle Slammed for Plugging As Ever Product Amid Dad’s Scandal: ‘It’s a Bad Look’

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Meghan Markle is taking heat for promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever, while disturbing allegations against her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., continue to dominate headlines.

According to Radar Online, critics slammed the Duchess of Sussex for going back to pushing As Ever products so soon after her father’s scandal broke.

One insider summed up the complaint in four words: “It’s a bad look.”

The latest As Ever promotion has drawn brutal criticism online, with media scrutiny of her dad only intensifying in the meantime.

The allegations against Thomas Sr. are serious. Philippine authorities are reportedly investigating claims that he possessed child sexual abuse material, per Reality Tea.

Thomas Sr. has denied the accusations, but he may soon face criminal charges.

Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., reportedly discovered the material at their father’s residence and alerted authorities. That claim has been at the center of the coverage since the story first surfaced.

For Meghan’s critics, the As Ever push fits a pattern. As we reported earlier this week, her upcoming role on Junior MasterChef Australia drew a similar wave of backlash.

Meghan confirmed that she’ll appear on the 2027 season of the kids’ cooking competition, saying the decision to sign on “was an easy yes.”

Reports differ on the size of the gig. Some outlets describe her as a special guest, while others say she’ll co-host the series, which is returning to Australia after six years away.

She’s no stranger to the franchise. Earlier this year, Meghan served as a guest judge on the flagship MasterChef Australia, an episode that went over well with the contestants and producers but split viewers at home.

The Junior MasterChef announcement landed just days after the allegations against her father became public. Reality Tea boiled down the critics’ reaction to that news in three words: “Read the room.”

Now the same crowd is making the same argument about As Ever, saying Meghan is carrying on with business as usual while her family drama plays out in the press.

Her father’s scandal has also made her a punch line. A recent “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday Night Live UK, featuring comedians Paddy Young and Ania Magliano, used the allegations to deliver jokes about Meghan and her relationship with the royal family.

Radar Online reported that Meghan was particularly hurt by the bit, with a source claiming she has long regarded the American version of SNL as a television institution.

“Meghan understands that public figures are fair game for comedians, but this is an extraordinarily sensitive subject,” the insider told the outlet.

The same source pointed out that Meghan and her dad have not been close in a very long time.

“She has been estranged from her father for years, yet she’s once again being dragged into a controversy she has absolutely no control over,” the insider added.

That estrangement is at the heart of the debate. Meghan’s defenders argue she shouldn’t have to put her career on hold over the alleged actions of a parent she has been estranged from for years.

Her critics see it differently, and the backlash over the As Ever promotion shows they aren’t letting up.

Meanwhile, the Philippine investigation into Thomas Sr. is reportedly ongoing, and Meghan’s Junior MasterChef Australia appearance is still on track for 2027.
