Apple has temporarily halted the sales of its products in Turkey.

According to a report from MacRumors, customers in the country are able to go to the Apple Store website and shop around for all of the different products contained on the site.

However, they are currently unable to add any of the products in stock to their cart or make a purchase for anything that was existing in their cart before the change.

Apple appears to have temporarily halted sales of devices in Turkey as the country's economic crisis deepened on Tuesday morning. The lira dropped 15 percent after Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan staunchly defended recent rate cuts, reports Reuters.

Right now, Apple's Turkey storefront is up and operational, but no devices are able to be added to a virtual cart or purchased at this time because of the volatility.

It's currently unclear when Apple may resume the sale of its products in the country.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has refused rate cuts in the country as it has experienced almost twenty percent inflation. The value of the Turkish lira has dropped forty-five percent when compared to the United States dollar over the course of the year.
