What you need to know
- Anyone buying from Apple will have until January 8 to return items from today.
- Purchases made after December 25 will be subject to the standard return policy.
It would be a good idea to get those orders in soon, too.
Apple has confirmed that it is now allowing people to return products bought as Christmas gifts to be returned all the way through January 8. Anything bought after December 25 will be subject to the standard return policy, it says.
Stores traditionally give people an extended return period during the Christmas period, and Apple is no different. Anyone lucky enough to be receiving an iPhone 13 this Christmas will have some to return it if that color just doesn't match their aesthetic, for example. We all know that Sierra Blue is the color everyone should choose an iPhone 13 Pro in, though.
Items purchased at the Apple Online Store that are received between November 1, 2021 and December 25, 2021, may be returned through January 8, 2022. Please note that all other terms and conditions provided in the Apple Online Store Sales and Refunds Policy are still applicable with respect to such items purchased. All purchases made after December 25, 2021 are subject to the Standard Return Policy.
Apple is also encouraging people to "shop early" to ensure that orders have time to reach doorsteps, something that isn't a given anymore given the current shipping situation experienced by the vast majority of Apple's products.
Anyone looking to get their order in soon can head on over to the Apple Store Online right now and get those orders placed! Apple is right to suggest that you do it sooner rather than later as well — delivery times for just about everything continue to stretch into the distance.
