What you need to know
- An unannounced Apple Watch has appeared in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database.
- Products appear in the database ahead of their launch, with Apple Watch Series 7 expected in or around September.
We're getting closer to an announcement.
As we get closer to an expected announcement, Apple Watch Series 7 appears to have popped up in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database. While the database doesn't explicitly list the devices as new Apple Watches, that's very likely to be what they are.
Carrying the model numbers A2473, A2474, A2475, A2476, A2477, and A2478, the products were first spotted by Consomac. Products often appear in the EEC database prior to an official announcement and this is the way we've seen multiple devices leak ahead of time — including iPhone 12.
The EEC database plays host to any product that supports encryption that will be sold in some specific countries, including Russia.
The arrival of the Apple Watch Series 7 lineup is expected to happen around the announcement of the upcoming iPhone 13, although the ongoing manufacturing issues facing all technology companies is the wildcard we have to consider here. Regardless, previous reports have the new Apple Watch featuring a new S7 chip as well as thinner bezels and an improved display. New health capabilities are also a possibility, although perhaps not guaranteed at this point.
Whenever it arrives, Apple Watch Series 7 will be the best Apple Watch yet. We don't know what will happen to the outgoing Apple Watch Series 6.
The next few months are sure to be busy ones for Apple, with new iPhones, Apple Watches, Macs, and iPads all expected to be announced. New AirPods are also in the cards, too.
