Black Friday 2021 is just around the corner, officially taking place on November 26 this year. As we do every year, we'll be keeping tabs on all of the best discounts on Apple products in the lead-up to the event and during that super sale weekend itself.
Best Apple Black Friday Deals
You don't have to wait until late this month to score some exceptional Apple deals, though. Various retailers have already begun discounting Apple tech like the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more. This year, it may be wiser than ever to shop the deals early with all kinds of delays and fulfillment problems already creeping in.
We have all the information you need for those looking to score some Apple deals this Black Friday 2021 right here, and we will continue to update this page as we learn more.
Where to find the best Black Friday Apple deals
You probably already know this, but Apple isn't too fond of running sales. We've now heard from Cupertino about what it plans to offer shoppers this Black Friday and, as in previous years, Apple's own Black Friday sale will again come in the form of a gift card promotion.
Worry not, though, as Apple products are available at pretty much every major retailer, and that's where you'll find the best Apple Black Friday deals. Retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are competing for shoppers' attention and dollars during this peak trading time, so they are incentivized to offer some doorbuster deals to get punters through the door.
We'll be rounding up the best offers on this page, but the below retailers are a good place to start if you want to see the deals each has to offer right now.
- Amazon: expect strong deals across all Apple devices plus price matching
- Best Buy: Big Apple deals with bundled extras
- Walmart: has offered all-time low Apple prices before
- B&H: Competitive pricing and a wide array of Mac configurations
- Target: 5% extra RedCard savings
- Apple: Go direct to the source for up to $200 back in gift cards
When will Apple's Black Friday event start?
Black Friday officially takes place on November 26, though many retailers are starting their sales earlier than that (most are already underway). For Apple, it tends to keep its Black Friday sale to a minimum, offering deals from Black Friday through Cyber Monday and that's exactly the case for Black Friday 2021.
We now have official word that Apple's Black Friday sale will begin on Friday, November 26 and continue until end of day on Monday, November 29. As it has in previous years, Apple won't be directly discounting products but will instead incentivize buyers by giving Apple gift cards of up to $200 back following eligible purchases. If you shop directly at Apple a lot, it's a good chance to save on a subsequent purchase.
That being said, since Black Friday takes over most of November, we've already seen a ton of direct price drops on Apple gear at third-party retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, among others meaning waiting for Apple's sale might not be the best option.
Should I wait for Black Friday to buy Apple products?
Shopping around this time of year is always a toss-up between getting what you want early versus the chance of it being available cheaper later. There's certainly a value in the peace of mind of securing items on your wish list before the Black Friday rush where things sell out or go on backorder, though the FOMO around Black Friday itself is real.
The only benefit to waiting is the chance that the price goes lower, so the best thing to do is check which retailers have already kicked off their Black Friday sales, scope out the deals, and see if there's any kind of Black Friday price guarantee. If you can snag a discount early and have a commitment from the retailer that the price won't go lower later this month, or that you'll get a refund if it does, then there's nothing to lose.
Black Friday iPhone deals
The iPhone is the one product category that sees the least movement in price. That may be because Apple sells millions of units each month without really trying or because many people get their phones on a carrier contract, though that doesn't mean you can't save on one if you know where to look (hint: it's right here).
Black Friday iPad deals
