The developer of the game has announced in a tweet that an update is coming to the game, including balancing adjustments, changes to the effectiveness of some Pokémon moves, and a test release of an all-new spectate feature.

The update is set to go live on August 4, 2021, with the spectate feature being tested from August 4 to August 6. After updating, players will need to restart the app completely in order to allow the updates to run. For the full patch notes, players can view them on the official website.
It is definitely encouraging to see the developer listen to requests made by fans, and make changes where necessary, as no game is perfect. Pokémon UNITE could definitely shape up to be one of the best online multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch.
