Here's how to defog the road in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

From Silent Hill to sunny days, once you grab the right Hidden Move.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the original classic experiences. While veterans might adjust to the small changes and new features present while remembering other things to do, newcomers may be confused as to how they're supposed to get rid of fog in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

If you want to have a better experience in the some of the latest Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch, you'll want to clean that fog right up, and we've got you covered. Before long, the fog will be stripped out like it's a later port of a Nintendo 64 game!

How to get rid of fog in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Fortunately, getting rid of fog in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a fairly straightforward process, once you know where to grab a particular item. You'll need to have progressed a fair bit into the game, though depending on how much you're grinding to buff up your Pokémon it might be a couple of hours or over a dozen. Once you've encountered fog, you're also capable of getting rid of it. Follow these steps:

  1. Head to Pastoria City, which you can see on the map above.
  2. Once you're in Pastoria City, go to the Great Marsh.
  3. Enter the Safari, which will cost 500 Pokémon Dollars.
  4. Go to the right and speak to a green-haired girl.

  5. She'll give you Hidden Move 97, or Defog.

You don't have to make any of your Pokémon learn Defog, instead, it's automatically unlocked on your Pokétech, which you can use to clear the fog. Whenever you run into any fog, just do the following:

  1. Press R to pill up your Pokétech.
  2. Cycle through the menus until you see the Hidden Moves.

  3. Select Defog.

That's it, now you can continue on your journey without getting lost, turned around, annoyed and tripping over seemingly every single Ponyta and Geodude in the forest. Not that we're speaking from experience or anything.
