Apple TV+ coming to Sky Glass and Sky Q

It comes as part of a larger deal with Comcast.

Sky in the UK announced today that TV+ would be arriving for Sky Glass and Sky Q customers later this year:

Sky and Apple today announced a new long-term agreement that will see Apple TV+ launch on Sky Glass and Sky Q later this year, while NOW brings integrated billing and in-app purchases across iOS and tvOS.

TV+ will be available to customers in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Italy.

In another big move, Sky also announced that Sky customers will be able to access Sky Go on Apple TV devices in mid-2022.

We've recently talked about how Sky Glass is everything that Apple TV should be, so its great to see Sky getting Apple TV+ access like this.

Elsewhere, Comcast CEO Brian roberts has announced the company will host Apple TV+ on its Comcast platforms including Apple TV+ coming to multiple Comcast services including Sky.

Variety reports:

Comcast struck a deal with Apple that will bring the Apple TV app, which includes access to the Apple TV Plus subscription service, to the cable giant's Xfinity X1, Flex, XClass TV and Sky Glass platforms, CEO Brian Roberts announced on the company's Q3 earnings call.

Roberts said that the Apple TV app would launch on Comcast's video platforms "in the coming months", and that conversely its Xfinity Stream app would be made available on Apple TV.
