You can now use your iPhone and Apple Watch as your Disney World pass

What you need to know

  • You can now use your iPhone throughout Walt Disney World Resort via the MagicMobile service..
  • You can even use your Apple Watch, too.

We're living in the future.

You can now use your iPhone and Apple Watch to replace your Walt Disney World Resort pass for the first time. The move makes use of the Disney MagicMobile service as was announced two weeks ago.

Announced via a blog post today, the feature is not replacing the popular MagicBand option, but is rather being offered alongside it as well.

Available now on iPhone and Apple Watch and coming soon to other smart devices, Disney MagicMobile service is a fun, easy-to-use new way for guests to experience The Most Magical Place on Earth. The service is offered in addition to other options such as the MagicBand, the colorful, all-in-one bracelet, which will continue to be available and introduced in even more colors, designs and limited-edition fan favorites into the future.

The announcement blog post runs park visitors through the process of setting their devices up for MagicMobile, but it also goes on to note that you can use your iPhone, Apple Watch, and existing MagicBand interchangeably as well. You won't be locked into using one particular type of device just because you've activated MagicMobile.

You may use Disney MagicMobile service, a MagicBand or a card interchangeably for added flexibility. Disney Resort hotel guests can purchase MagicBands at a special, pre-arrival price. Guests can also pick up a Key to the World card at their convenience at the front desk.

You can download the My Disney Experience app to get started now. It's a free download from the App Store. Why not learn how to take the perfect family holiday pictures while you're there?

Any recent iPhone or Apple Watch will work just fine with the new MagicMobile service. On the lookout for a new watch? These are some of the best Apple Watch options available today.
