I'm a big fan of AirPods Max but the charging solution is less than ideal. Lightning is cool and it does the job, but keeping your AirPods Max in the Smart Case sucks. How about a nice stand that also happens to wirelessly charge your fancy headphones?
That's what is available right now as part of a Kickstarter project. Max Stand is a little stand that not only gives you somewhere to put your AirPods Max but also wirelessly charges them thanks to a small Lightning-equipped nubbin. It's all rather clever, really. You plug the nubbin into your AirPods Max and that then charges via the stand. Magic
With Max Stand you can simply pick up the AirPods to start listening, and easily place them back when done. On the stand, they are charged wirelessly via a magnetic connector and displayed in style. No fiddling with a case or cable.
The stand itself is available in the same colors Apple sells AirPods Max in, making sure you have the right one to match your style. Prices start at €69 and I'm told we can expect shipment in or around May 2021.
These are some of the best headphone stands for AirPods Max available elsewhere and I have to say I prefer the Max Stand by some way!
