What you need to know

Ever since April Fools' Day this year, The Pokémon Company has been showing a lot of support for the legend-worthy HM mule, Bidoof, who made its debut in Generation 4. Bidoof has accompanied many a trainer through Sinnoh, using helpful moves to help players navigate the overworld.

Other games like Pokémon GO have been celebrating in their own way, with things like the Bidoof Breakout Event happening from June 25 to July 1, 2021. Players will be able to encounter Bidoof and its evolution Bibarel that have special moves, such as Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, or Ice Beam.

This announcement is very well-placed, ahead of the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which have been promised to be faithful remakes of the original Generation 4 games which first released in North America in 2007.
