Apple has formally added Stella Low to the Apple Leadership website.

Low, the company's new Vice President of Communications, has been with the company since May of 2021.

Stella Low is Apple's vice president of Communications, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. She is responsible for Apple's worldwide communications strategy, leading the public relations team as well as employee communications.

Stella has over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications. Prior to joining Apple in 2021, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Cisco. She has also held leadership roles at Dell Technologies and EMC.

Originally from the UK, Stella holds a bachelor's degree in Business Studies from London South Bank University. She serves on the board of the Bay Area division of the American Heart Association.

Apple had hired Low back in May, a needed hire as the role sat vacant for two years. The executive, who formerly worked as the communications chief at Cisco, reports directly to Tim Cook.

Apple confirmed the hire, offering the following statement: "Stella brings her remarkable experience and leadership to Apple's world-class communications teams. Apple has an important story to tell — from the transformative products and services we make, to the positive impacts we have on our communities and the world — and Stella is a great leader to help us write the next chapter."

Low succeeded Steve Dowling, who was Apple's head of corporate public relations for ten years and then Vice President of Communications for five years. The executive left the company in September of 2019. Phil Schiller had handled the role before Low was brought on.
