Apple has confirmed that the popular RPG Monster Hunter Stories is coming to Apple Arcade soon, with the game being free of all ads and in-app purchases. It'll be free to everyone who has an Apple Arcade subscription, of course.
Monster Hunter Stories is already available as a $20 purchase, but its move to Apple Arcade will enable more people than ever to enjoy a game that has an enviable App Store rating.
A highly-rated RPG where players enter a world filled with large monsters that roam the land, and people everywhere make a living hunting them. But there's a remote village that follow a different set of customs called the Monster Riders, who don't hunt but instead form bonds with monsters. The monsters that form kinships with Riders, known as "Monsties," possess incredible powers. By becoming a Rider, players can befriend countless Monsties and embark on new adventures, riding the Monsties as they explore a vast, exciting world to uncover monster dens, and bring back the eggs they find to hatch new Monsties.
Monster Hunter Stories+, as the Apple Arcade version of the game will be known, is available for pre-registration in the App Store now. There are some lengthy "Important Notes" in that App Store entry, so maybe give those a read while you wait for the big release.
