Ahead of the launch of the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Kenji Oguro offered an in-depth look at the post-launch content coming to the game.
Much like Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2 will feature extensive (and free!) post-launch content. Just a week after the game's launch, the first title update brings the Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise as a ridable Monstie. The second update, which arrives on August 5th, will introduce a new co-op quest featuring the Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth, as well as two new Monsties: Hellblade Glavenus and Boltreaver Astalos.
The third title update, scheduled for early September, brings Soulseer Mizutsune, Elderfrost Gammoth, and Oroshi Kirin to the game as new Monsties and will be quickly followed by a fourth title update at the end of the month. Title update 4 will bring Dreadking Rathalos and Molten Tigrex as new Monsties, as well as another high difficulty co-op quest.
One final update arrives in October, and will introduce Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian as Monsties, as well as bring a new co-op quest against a currently mysterious monster. Defeating the monster will offer materials needed to craft some incredibly powerful equipment.
