Nintendo Switch Online members can play Among Us for free for one week!

Sus out all the imposters, but don't get caught!

What you need to know

  • Among Us is a game about deception where players must deduce who the traitors among them are.
  • Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to play the game for free through NSO Game Trials.
  • The Game Trial will run from July 21 to July 27, 2021.
  • NSO subscribers can then purchase the game at a 30% discount until August 1, 2021.

Nintendo's version of the online gaming service, Nintendo Switch Online has used Game Trials as a means to entice potential customers. Every once in a while, subscribers are offered the opportunity to play an often popular game in full for one week, free of charge. After the trial week is over, subscribers who enjoyed the game can choose to purchase said game at a reduced rate for some time afterwards.

This month, the game on offer is the ever popular, yet ever sus, Among Us on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo of America announced the trial in a tweet today.

From July 21 to July 27, 2021, anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription can download the game for free. To do so, just head to the game's page on the Nintendo Switch eShop once the offer goes live, and select "Free Download". You will be granted access to all aspects of the game until the trial period ends on July 27, after which you will be directed to the eShop should you attempt to play the game again. But don't worry — all of your save data will be intact, once you've uploaded it to the cloud!

Anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription who purchases Among Us after the trial can get 30% off the cost price until August 1, 2021 as well. What a deal!

If you wish to pre-download the game so that you can play it as soon as it launches, simply follow this link to the Nintendo eShop.
