Pokémon Unite: Make sure you pick the right starter

Each Pokémon has its own playstyle, but some starters are better than others.

There are five Pokémon to choose from when you start Pokémon Unite: Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Talonflame, and Eldegoss. They're each a different Battle Type and have different stats, but which one is the best? We've got the best choice for beginners and experienced players alike, along with the stats for each Pokémon to help you decide.

The game only takes up 928 MB of space, but it's still a good idea to make sure you have enough room on your microSD card before downloading it.

Pokémon Unite: The best starter

You should consider your preferred playstyle and the stats of each Pokémon before making your final decision.

The very best: Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced MOBA player, Pikachu and Talonflame are by far the best choices among the five starters. They have excellent stats, are higher-ranking on the tier list, and are great for scoring points. Pikachu is a little easier to use, so he's the better option for anyone new to this genre.

Middling options: Surprisingly, Snorlax and Eldegoss are the next best Pokémon starters to choose from. These two are great for supporting other teammates as they defend and heal, respectively. They are lower on the tier list and aren't quite as easy to handle.

Worst choice: Charizard will definitely be many people's go-to choice, and that's probably why this All-Rounder isn't the most powerful option. Don't get me wrong, you'll still be able to score points and do well on your team with Charizard, but he is the worst option here.

Once you choose a Pokémon License, you'll have to work hard to earn Aeos Coins or purchase Aeos Gems to acquire other Pokémon, so choose your first one wisely. Some are definitely better than others or might suit your playstyle better.
