- Physical is a new dark comedy coming to Apple TV+.
- A new teaser trailer has just been released.
Apple has just dropped the teaser trailer for upcoming Apple TV+ dark comedy Physical.
Apple announced the series back in February stating:
Today, at the Television Critics Association Winter 2021 Press Tour, Apple TV+ revealed a first look at "Physical," a new dramedy starring Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne and created by Annie Weisman, and produced by Tomorrow Studios. The 10-episode Apple Original series will make its global premiere this summer on Apple TV+.
Set in the idyllic but fragile beach paradise of sunny 1980s San Diego, "Physical" is a half-hour dark comedy following Sheila Rubin (played by Byrne), a quietly tortured, seemingly dutiful housewife supporting her smart but controversial husband's bid for state assembly. But behind closed doors, Sheila has her own darkly funny take on life she rarely lets the world see. She's also battling a complex set of personal demons relating to her self-image… that is, until she finds release through the unlikeliest source: the world of aerobics.
The story follows Sheila as she merges her passion for aerobics with the new technology of videotape to start a business.
Apple continues to add more and more titles to its relatively young streaming platform, debuting a trailer for 'Fathom', a documentary about whales last week:
Apple TV+ today shared a new trailer for the upcoming documentary Fathom and it's looking pretty sweet.
The whole thing will air on Apple TV+ from June 25 and will see Dr. Michelle Fournet and Dr. Ellen Garland trying to spark a conversation with whales while trying to understand the songs they're singing.
