Mariing itinanggi ng Kapuso actor na si Xian Lim ang kumalat na ‘steak issue’ kaugnay sa paghihiwalay nila ng Kapamilya actress-host na si Kim Chiu.
Kung matatandaan, mainit na pinag-usapan ang isyu na diumano’y nagpaluto muna si Xian ng paborito niyang steak kay Kim bago niya ito hiniwalayan.
Nagsimula ang isyu noong Marso matapos itong pag-usapan ng talent manager na si Ogie Diaz sa kanyang YouTube channel na “Showbiz Update.”
Sa pinaka-latest na exclusive interview ni Xian sa Inquirer, pinabulaanan niya ang nasabing isyu.
Ayon pa kay Xian, nakakatawa raw ang isyu at hindi niya alam kung saan ito nanggaling.

Unang-una, ayon kay Xian, hindi siya ang unang nakipag-break kay Kim.
Aniya, “There’s no truth to it. It’s absurd. I don’t see where it’s coming from. Is it because people are using us for entertainment? I cannot orchestrate that. I wasn’t the one who initiated the breakup. All these fake news, all these dagdag-bawas, are just too much already.”
Bukod sa steak issue, nag-react din si Xian sa isyu na tinawagan niya si Kim para humingi ng permiso rito na inanunsyo na may bago na siyang girlfriend.
Matatandaang nitong May 2 ay kinumpirma ni Xian sa pamamagitan ng isang magazine interview ang relasyon nila ng film producer na si Iris Lee.
Ayon pa kay Xian, totoong tumawag siya kay Kim pero hindi para sa nasabing dahilan kundi para pakiusapan ito na maglabas na sila ng pahayag na hiwalay na sila at sa maayos na paraan.
Paliwanag ni Xian, marami nang nakikisawsaw sa hiwalayan nila ni Kim at gumagawa ng iba’t ibang kwento tungkol dito.
Isiniwalat niyang umabot pa raw sa punto na nakatanggap siya ng mensahe mula sa isang supporter na “sana mamatay na ang lola mo.”
Kaya para matapos na ang iba’t ibang espekulasyon, tinawagan niya si Kim para pakiusapan itong sabihin na nila na hiwalay na sila.
Ani Xian, “When this story first came to me, I didn’t understand it, to be honest. There’s also no truth to it. But I’ll say this—the truth is that I really did call Kim. When we parted ways, there were various stories coming out. Some parties are purposely becoming noisy. This was also the time when my family started getting messages that were below the belt.”
Patuloy pa niya, “It had already gotten way out of hand during the two weeks since we broke up, so I had to give her a call. This was around November. I was actually begging Kim, saying we should release a statement that we’ve already gone our separate ways, that we separated on good terms at walang sigawan. Of course, there were tears, pero walang masamang tinapay…”
“I begged her that both of us could release a statement, but she said not yet because they’re doing the press launch of her series. I said, ‘But this isn’t work-related. It’s personal.’ That’s the truth to it…,” dagdag niya.
Samantala, nagsalita rin si Xian hinggil sa pahayag ng GMA writer na si Brylle Tabora na mahirap siyang katrabaho at ginawa niyang miserable ang buhay nilang mga writer.
Ayon kay Xian, hindi pa niya nakikita ito at tanging ang production manager at creative head lamang umano ng GMA-7 ang kanyang nakakausap.
Aniya, “There’s really no relationship between an actor and a writer for a TV show. This is possible when doing a film because it’s a collaborative process, so you get to jam. But in a TV show, it’s very systematic. So, the only people I talk to are the production manager and the creative head of GMA 7…”
“I’ve never even met the guy. I just wish he can elaborate. I’ve done nothing but put in the time,” diin pa niya.
